วันที่ 29 กรกฎาคม 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานในพิธีมอบเกียรติบัตร เงินรางวัลแก่เยาวชน และโล่ขอบคุณผู้สนับสนุนการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 13 ที่สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ โดยมี นายบุญชอบ สุทธมนัสวงษ์ ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน นางเธียรรัตน์ นะวะมะวัฒน์ โฆษกกระทรวงแรงงาน (ฝ่ายการเมือง) นางสาวบุปผาเรืองสุด อธิบดีกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน และคณะผู้บริหารกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมในพิธี ณ ห้องประชุม ชั้น 5 อาคารกระทรวงแรงงาน
นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า ในนามรัฐบาล และ ฯพณฯ ท่านนายกรัฐมนตรี ผมขอแสดงความยินดีกับผู้เข้าแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 13 ณ สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ ที่ประสบความสำเร็จได้คว้ารางวัลเหรียญเงิน จำนวน 3 รางวัล เหรียญทองแดง จำนวน 3 รางวัล อีกทั้งรางวัลเหรียญฝีมือยอดเยี่ยม จำนวน 9 รางวัลกลับมายังประเทศไทย ซึ่งมีผลคะแนนรวมเป็นที่ 4 ในระดับอาเซียน และขอชื่นชมเยาวชนทั้ง 24 คน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 22 คน ที่ได้ทำหน้าที่อย่างเต็มความสามารถ รวมไปถึงขอขอบคุณผู้สนับสนุนทุกท่านที่ให้การสนับสนุนตลอดมาทั้งด้านงบประมาณ สถานที่ บุคลากร วัสดุ อุปกรณ์ เครื่องมือ และเครื่องจักรที่ทันสมัยในการเก็บตัวฝึกซ้อม ซึ่งมีเป้าหมายเดียวกันกับกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงานกระทรวงแรงงาน ในการพัฒนาและยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิต สังคม และระบบเศรษฐกิจของประเทศอย่างเต็มความสามารถจนประสบความสำเร็จในครั้งนี้ ในวันนี้ทางกระทรวงแรงงานโดยกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน จึงจัดพิธีมอบเกียรติบัตร และเงินรางวัลให้แก่เยาวชน โดยเหรียญเงิน จะได้รับเงินรางวัลจำนวน 75,000 บาท เหรียญทองแดง จำนวน 40,000 บาท และเหรียญฝีมือยอดเยี่ยม (รางวัลชมเชย) จำนวน 20,000 บาท ในส่วนของน้อง ๆ ที่พลาดเหรียญรางวัลในการแข่งขันครั้งนี้ จะได้รับเงินรางวัลเป็นทุนการศึกษารายละ 10,000 บาท เพื่อเป็นกำลังใจและเกียรติประวัติให้แก่น้อง ๆ พร้อมทั้งมีการมอบโล่ขอบคุณให้แก่ผู้สนับสนุนทั้ง 29 แห่ง ที่ทำให้การส่งเยาวชนเข้าร่วมแข่งขันสำเร็จลุล่วงไปได้ด้วยดี
นายสุชาติ กล่าวต่อว่า การพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงานผ่านการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานทั้งในระดับชาติอาเซียน เอเชีย และระดับนานาชาติ ถือเป็นเครื่องมือที่สำคัญในการชี้วัดระดับความสำเร็จในการพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน กรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงานจะเป็นหน่วยงานหลักในการประสานความร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งภาครัฐ เอกชน องค์กร สมาคมต่าง ๆ ในการนำความรู้และประสบการณ์จากการแข่งขันมาพัฒนาหลักสูตรการฝึกอบรม และการศึกษาด้านอาชีพให้แก่สถาบันการศึกษาที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องทุกภาคส่วนให้มีความทันสมัยตรงกับความต้องการของภาคอุตสาหกรรมการผลิตและภาคบริการโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งจะต้องเน้นพัฒนาทักษะในสาขาที่เกี่ยวกับระบบอัตโนมัติ ดิจิทัล และการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ซึ่งโลกแห่งอนาคต ข้อมูลถือเป็นทรัพย์สินที่มีค่าสำหรับการลงทุนในอุตสาหกรรมต่าง ๆ การแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานเป็นการเพิ่มโอกาสในการจ้างงานทั้งในและต่างประเทศ และที่สำคัญจะส่งผลให้นักลงทุนมีความเชื่อมั่นในศักยภาพของแรงงานไทย

On July 29, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, presided over the ceremony to award prize money to the young participants and a plaque of appreciation for the sponsors of the 13th WorldSkills ASEAN in Singapore. The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, the Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives participated in the ceremony at the meeting room on the 5th floor, Ministry of Labour.
The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, said that on behalf of the government and the Prime Minister, he congratulated the participants of the 13th WorldSkills ASEAN in Singapore. The competitors won 3 silver medals, three bronze medals, and nine medals for excellent craftsmanship. They scored a total score of 4 at the ASEAN level. He commended all 24 young competitors and 22 experts who performed at their best. He also thanked all sponsors for continuous support in the budget, facilities, personnel, materials, equipment, tools, and modern machines for training. The efforts align with the Ministry of Labour’s Department of Skill Development’s goal of developing and elevating the quality of life, society, and the country’s economy to the fullest. Today, the Ministry of Labour’s Department of Skill Development, therefore, hosted the ceremony to award prize money to youths. Silver medalists will receive prize money of 75,000 Baht. Bronze medalists will receive 40,000 Baht. Those who won medals for excellent craftsmanship (complimentary prize) will receive 20,000 Baht. Participants who missed out on medals in this competition will receive a scholarship prize of 10,000 Baht each to encourage and honour the young competitors. The ceremony also awarded plaques of appreciation to all 29 sponsors who successfully sent the young competitors to participate in the competition.
Mr. Suchart continued that skill development through skill competitions at national, ASEAN, Asian, and international levels is an important tool to measure the success of skill development. The Department of Skill Development is the main agency coordinating with relevant government agencies, private companies, organizations, and associations in bringing knowledge and experience from the competition to develop training courses, including vocational education for educational institutions involved in all sectors to be updated and aligned with the needs of the manufacturing and service sectors. In particular, it must focus on developing skills related to automation, the digital world, and data analytics, which is the world of the future. Information is a valuable asset for investment in any industry. Skills competitions increase employment opportunities both domestically and internationally, and most importantly, it will result in investors having confidence in the potential of Thai workers.
The Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, added that the 13th WorldSkills ASEAN would not be successful without the support from government agencies and private organizations. There was a total of 29 sponsors consisting of the SCG Foundation, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Rangsit University, Dusit Thani College, Faculty of Management Sciences, Silpakorn University, Phetchaburi IT Campus, Chiang Mai University Science and Technology Park, Khon Kaen Technical College, Rayong Technical College, Songkhla Technical College, Ban Phai Vocational College, Phon Vocational College, Eastern College of Technology (E.Tech), Lanna Polytechnic College of Technology, Chiang Mai, Siam Business Administration Technological College (SBAC), Saphan Mai Campus, Oazis Salon, Adam Hair Design School, Thongchai Hair Training Center, EasyKids Robotics Programming and Innovation Learning Center, Mesh Mechanism Design Co., Ltd., Isuzu Kowyoohah Motors Co., Ltd., 3D Scanners (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Autodesk Asia Pte. Ltd., Festo Co., Ltd., Centra by Centara Cha Am Beach Resort Hua Hin, Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok, AST Motor Co., Ltd., Toyota Khonkaen Co., Ltd., and Aswell Solutions Co., Ltd, that supported the budget, facilities, personnel, materials, and modern equipment in the training of the young competitors in preparation to compete. She thanked everyone for the success. She asked that Thai people continue to send their encouragement to the young competitors who received awards and to compete in the 2nd Asian Skills Competition in the United Arab Emirates between November 24 and December 1, 2023, and the 47th International Skills Competition in France between September 10 to 15, 2024.
