วันที่ 19 กรกฎาคม 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน มอบหมายให้ นายบุญชอบ สุทธมนัสวงษ์ ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานแถลงข่าวการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 13 มีนางสาวบุปผา เรืองสุด อธิบดีกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน และคณะผู้บริหารกระทรวงแรงงาน พร้อมเยาวชนร่วมแถลงข่าว ณ ห้องประชุม ชั้น 5 กระทรวงแรงงานไทยส่งเยาวชนร่วมการแข่งขัน 24 คน ใน 12 สาขา กำหนดการแข่งขันระหว่างวันที่ 23 – 25 กรกฎาคม 2566 ณ สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์
นายบุญชอบ สุทธมนัสวงษ์ ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวแถลงว่า การแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียน เป็นข้อตกลงของกลุ่มประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน โดยกำหนดให้ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนหมุนเวียนกันเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการแข่งขันทุก 2 ปี และบรรจุไว้เป็นกิจกรรมหนึ่งของแผนงานด้านการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ ภายใต้พิมพ์เขียวประชาคมสังคมและวัฒนธรรม เพื่อกระตุ้นให้เยาวชนและกำลังแรงงานภูมิภาคอาเซียนเกิดความตื่นตัวและสนใจที่จะพัฒนาทักษะฝีมือของตนให้ทันต่อเทคโนโลยีและทัดเทียมมาตรฐานสากล จะส่งผลให้เยาวชนได้ก้าวสู่การเป็นช่างฝีมือในตลาดแรงงาน สามารถเพิ่มศักยภาพการผลิตและบริการของประเทศในอนาคต ซึ่งการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียนครั้งนี้ เป็นครั้งที่ 13 แข่งขันระหว่างวันที่ 23 – 25 กรกฎาคม 2566 ณ สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์
นายบุญชอบ กล่าวต่อไปว่า การแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียน เป็นเวทีที่เยาวชนไทยจะแสดงฝีมือให้คนทั่วโลกได้รับรู้ถึงความสามารถและทักษะฝีมือของไทยที่ได้มาตรฐานทัดเทียมมาตรฐานสากล ซึ่งต่างชาติจะได้รู้ว่าเด็กไทยไม่แพ้ชาติใดในโลก ที่ผ่านมาเยาวชนไทยสามารถคว้าเหรียญรางวัลมาได้ในเวทีแข่งขันระดับนานาชาติ อาทิ สาขาการประกอบอาหารและสาขาการบริการอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม ขณะที่หน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นสถาบันการศึกษาและสถานประกอบกิจการ ตื่นตัวในการจัดส่งเยาวชนที่มีทักษะฝีมือร่วมแข่งขันเพิ่มขึ้น อีกทั้งให้การสนับสนุนตั้งแต่การเก็บตัวฝึกซ้อมและส่งตัวแทนเยาวชนไปร่วมแข่งขันในเวทีต่าง ๆสะท้อนถึงการให้ความสำคัญของการพัฒนาทักษะฝีมือแรงงาน หากสามารถคว้าเหรียญรางวัลมาได้ ก็เป็นเครื่องชี้วัดในศักยภาพของแรงงานไทย ซึ่งมีผลต่อการลงทุนและการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจของประเทศในอนาคตด้วย สำหรับสิ่งที่เยาวชนจะได้รับนอกจากการก้าวไปสู่เวทีที่ใหญ่กว่านี้คือระดับนานาชาติแล้ว ประสบการณ์ที่น้อง ๆ ผู้เข้าแข่งขันได้รับสำคัญมากกว่าเหรียญรางวัล
“ผมขอเป็นเป็นกำลังใจให้ทุกคนประสบความสำเร็จตามที่มุ่งหวัง และเชื่อมั่นว่าจะสามารถคว้าชัยชนะกลับมาสู่ประเทศไทยได้อย่างแน่นอน และขอเชิญชวนชาวไทยร่วมส่งแรงเชียร์ให้กับตัวแทนเยาวชนไทยที่ไปแข่งขันในครั้งนี้ด้วยครับ”
นางสาวบุปผา เรืองสุด อธิบดีกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า ประเทศเจ้าภาพจัดให้มีการแข่งขันทั้งหมด 22 สาขา มีเยาวชนเข้าร่วมแข่งขันจำนวน 180 คน จาก 9 ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ได้แก่ บรูไน ลาว เมียนมา มาเลเซีย อินโดนีเซีย สิงคโปร์ ฟิลิปปินส์ เวียดนาม และไทยโดยกัมพูชาไม่ส่งเยาวชนเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน สำหรับประเทศไทยจัดส่งเยาวชนเข้าร่วมแข่งขันทั้งหมด 24 คน ใน 12 สาขา ประกอบด้วย 1) สาขาเมคคาทรอนิกส์ (ทีม) 2) สาขาหุ่นยนต์เคลื่อนที่ (ทีม) 3) สาขาเทคโนโลยีระบบไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร 4) สาขาเทคโนโลยีระบบทำความเย็น 5) สาขาเว็บดีไซน์ 6) สาขากราฟิกดีไซน์ 7) สาขาการแต่งผม 8) สาขาแฟชั่นเทคโนโลยี 9) สาขาออกแบบและเขียนแบบเครื่องกลด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์ 10) สาขาเทคโนโลยียานยนต์ 11) สาขาการบริการอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม และ 12) สาขาการประกอบอาหาร เยาวชนที่เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันมีอายุไม่เกิน 22 ปี ซึ่งแต่ละประเทศส่งผู้เข้าแข่งขันได้ไม่เกินสาขาละ 2 คนการแข่งขันจะใช้เวลา 3 วัน ระหว่างวันที่ 23 – 25 กรกฎาคม 2566 มีพิธีเปิดในวันที่ 22 กรกฎาคม 2566 ประกาศรางวัลและปิดการแข่งขันในวันที่ 27 กรกฎาคม 2566 สำหรับเงินรางวัลที่กระทรวงแรงงาน โดยกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน ได้รับการจัดสรรงบประมาณเพื่อมอบให้แก่ผู้ที่ได้รับเหรียญรางวัล ได้แก่ เหรียญทอง จำนวน 150,000 บาท เหรียญเงิน จำนวน 75,000 บาท เหรียญทองแดง จำนวน 40,000 บาท และเหรียญฝีมือยอดเยี่ยม (รางวัลชมเชย) จำนวน 20,000 บาท
On July 29, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, to preside over the 13th ASEAN Skills Competition press conference. The Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, the Ministry of Labour’s executives, and youths participated in the press conference at the meeting room on the 5th floor of the Ministry of Labour. Thailand sent 24 youths to participate in the competition in 12 branches. The competition is scheduled for July 23 and 25, 2023, in Singapore.
The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, said that the ASEAN Skills Competition is an agreement by the ASEAN member countries. ASEAN member countries rotate to host the competition every two years, and it is included as an activity under the human resource development program under the social and cultural community blueprint to encourage youths and workers in the ASEAN region to become aware and interested in developing their skills to keep pace with technology and to meet international standards. The effort drives youths to become skilled craftsmen in the labour market to increase the country’s production and service potential in the future. This is the 13th ASEAN Skills Competition, held between July 23 and 25, 2023, in Singapore.
Mr. Boonchob said that the ASEAN Skills Competition is a stage where Thai youths will show their skills to people worldwide to see the talents and skills of Thai craftsmanship that meet international standards. Others will see that Thailand can compete with other nations in the world. In the past, Thai youths have won medals in international competitions such as cooking and food and beverage services. Meanwhile, agencies such as educational institutions and business establishments can be more active in sending skilled youths to participate in competitions. In addition, they provide support from training sessions and send young representatives to compete in various stages. It reflects the importance of skill development. If competitors can win a medal, it is an indicator of the potential of Thai workers. This will also affect investment and drive the country’s economy in the future. As for what the youth will receive, besides stepping onto a bigger stage, this is at the international level. The experience gained by the young contestants is more important than the medals.
“I would like to encourage everyone to achieve their goals and be confident they can bring medals back to Thailand. I would like to invite Thai people to send encouragement to the Thai youth representatives participating in this competition as well.”
The Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, added that the host country organized a total of 22 competition branches with 180 youths participating from 9 ASEAN member countries, namely Brunei, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand. Cambodia did not send youths to participate in the competition. For Thailand, 24 youths participated in the competition in 12 fields: 1) Mechatronics (team), 2) Mobile Robotics (team), 3) Building Electrical Technology, 4) Cooling Technology, 5) Web Design, 6) Graphic Design, 7) Hairdressing, 8) Fashion Technology, 9) Computer Mechanical Design and Drawing, 10) Automotive Technology, 11) Food and Beverage Service, and 12) Cooking. Youths participating in the competition are under 22 years old. Each country can send no more than two contestants per branch. The competition is for three days between July 23 and 25, 2023, with the opening ceremony on July 22, 2023. Awards are announced, and the competition closes on July 27, 2023. For prize money, the Ministry of Labour’s the Department of Skill Development has allocated a budget for medal winners. Gold medalists will receive 150,000 Baht. Silver medalists will receive 75,000 Baht, and bronze medals will receive 40,000 Baht. Medalists for outstanding craftsmanship (honourable prizes) will receive 20,000 Baht.
