กระทรวงแรงงาน โดยกรมสวัสดิการและคุ้มครองแรงงาน เชิดชู 31 ผู้หญิงแกร่งทำงานเก่งพร้อมมอบโล่รางวัล “สตรีทำงานดีเด่น” เนื่องในวันสตรีสากล ประจำปี 2566 มุ่งหวังให้สตรีทำงานนำมาเป็นต้นแบบในการสร้างแรงบันดาลใจ เพื่อพัฒนาศักยภาพตนเอง และนำไปสู่การพัฒนาสังคม เศรษฐกิจ และประเทศชาติได้อย่างยั่งยืน
วันที่ 8 มีนาคม 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานเปิดงานวันสตรีสากล และมอบโล่รางวัลสตรีทำงานดีเด่น ประจำปี 2566 โดยมี ผู้บริหารระดับสูงกระทรวงแรงงานและผู้เข้ารับรางวัลสตรีทำงานดีเด่น ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ ณ โรงแรมมิราเคิล แกรนด์ คอนเวนชั่น ถนนวิภาวดีรังสิต เขตหลักสี่ กรุงเทพมหานคร
นายสุชาติ กล่าวว่า รัฐบาลภายใต้การนำของ ท่าน พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ได้ให้ความสำคัญกับบทบาทและสิทธิของสตรี ซึ่งปัจจุบันสตรีเข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญในการพัฒนาประเทศ บทบาทของสตรีในประเทศไทยนั้น ได้เพิ่มขึ้นมากกว่าในอดีตอย่างมากทั้งในระดับผู้บริหารและระดับปฏิบัติ และยังพบว่า ผู้หญิงได้รับการยอมรับมากขึ้นในแวดวงธุรกิจและอุตสาหกรรมต่าง ๆ โดยกระทรวงแรงงาน ในฐานะหน่วยงานที่มีภารกิจสำคัญในการคุ้มครองแรงงานได้ตระหนักถึงสตรีทำงานทุกคนว่าเป็นกำลังสำคัญของชาติ อันจะเห็นได้จากในช่วงสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโควิด-19 ที่ผ่านมา สตรีทำงานเป็นหนึ่งในผู้ที่มีบทบาทในการช่วยยับยั้งการแพร่ระบาดตามแต่ละพื้นที่ต่าง ๆ จนทำให้สถานการณ์ดีขึ้น นอกจากนี้ บทบาทสตรียังช่วยสร้างสรรค์สังคม รวมทั้งช่วยขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจของประเทศให้เจริญก้าวหน้า กระทรวงแรงงาน จึงได้มุ่งมั่นที่จะส่งเสริมให้แรงงานสตรีได้รับการคุ้มครองสิทธิเท่าเทียมกัน โดยไม่เลือกปฏิบัติ มีความมั่นคง และมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี รวมทั้งผลักดันให้มีการแก้กฎหมายให้สตรีมีครรภ์สามารถใช้สิทธิลาเพื่อคลอดบุตรโดยได้รับค่าจ้าง 98 วัน เพิ่มวงเงินสงเคราะห์บุตรจาก 600 บาท เป็น 800 บาท และตรวจสุขภาพเชิงรุกให้แรงงานสตรี ตลอดจนร่วมมือกับทุกภาคส่วนในการส่งเสริม สนับสนุนบทบาทสตรี และความเสมอภาคชายหญิง ซึ่งจะเป็นกลไกที่สำคัญในการพัฒนาประเทศให้เจริญก้าวหน้าได้อย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืน ผมขอยืนยันอีกครั้งว่า “สตรีเป็นพลังขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ” อย่างแท้จริง
นายสุชาติ กล่าวต่อว่า สำหรับการจัดงานวันสตรีสากล ประจำปี 2566 นี้ จัดขึ้นภายใต้แนวคิด“แรงงานสตรี สร้างความเสมอภาคและการทำงานที่มีคุณค่า” เพื่อรณรงค์ให้ทุกภาคส่วนของสังคมตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของสตรีทำงาน สนับสนุน ส่งเสริมให้สตรีทำงานได้รับสิทธิอย่างเท่าเทียมและเป็นธรรม ยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิต พร้อมมีความสุขในการทำงาน โดยพิธีมอบโล่รางวัลสตรีทำงานดีเด่น ประจำปี 2566 เพื่อยกย่อง เชิดชูเกียรติสตรีทำงานดีเด่นในการเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดี จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 31 คน จาก 8 ประเภทรางวัล อาทิ นางสาวฉวีวรรณ อุทัยพิบูลย์ รองผู้ว่าการ (แผนและพัฒนา) การประปานครหลวง นางวันเพ็ญ บุรีสูงเนิน รองศึกษาธิการภาค 6 ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ศึกษาธิการภาค 9 สำนักงานปลัดกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ประเภทสตรีนักบริหารดีเด่น นางสาวเขมนิจ จามิกรณ์ ประเภทศิลปินสตรีดีเด่น นางเธียรรัตน์ นะวะมะวัฒน์ โฆษกกระทรวงแรงงาน (ฝ่ายการเมือง) ประเภทสื่อมวลชนสตรีดีเด่น นางสาวทองพูล บัวศรี ผู้จัดการโครงการครูข้างถนน/โครงการโรงเรียนเด็กก่อสร้างเคลื่อนที่ มูลนิธิสร้างสรรค์เด็ก ประเภทสตรีองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนดีเด่น นอกจากนี้ ภายในงานยังมีกิจกรรมแสดงนิทรรศการสตรีทำงานดีเด่น และการแสดงผลิตภัณฑ์ของสตรีผู้ประกอบอาชีพอิสระดีเด่นอีกด้วย

The Ministry of Labour’s Department of Labour Protection and Welfare recognized 31 outstanding women at work, awarding “Outstanding Working Women” plaques on International Women’s Day 2023. The initiative encourages working women to be role models for people to develop their potential, leading to sustainable social, economic, and national development.
On March 8, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, presided over the International Women’s Day opening ceremony and presented the 2023 Outstanding Working Women Award plaques. The Ministry of Labour’s executives and outstanding working women award recipients gave a welcome at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, Laksi District, Bangkok.
Mr. Suchart said that the government, under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, General Prayuth Chan-ocha gives importance to the role and rights of women. Women play an important role in the development of the country. The role of women in Thailand has increased significantly over the years, both at the executive and operational levels. Women are increasingly accepted in various business and industrial circles. The Ministry of Labour, an agency with an important mission of protecting the workforce, recognizes all working women as an important force in the nation. This is evident from the COVID-19 pandemic. Working women were one of the people who played a role in helping to stop the spread of the pandemic in different areas, making the situation better. They helped create society and drive the country’s economy forward. Therefore, the Ministry of Labour is committed to promoting women workers to have equal protection of their rights, without discrimination, ensuring stability and good quality of life. It has also pushed for amendments to the law allowing pregnant women to take 98 days of paid maternity leave, increasing the amount of child allowance from 600 Baht to 800 Baht, and providing proactive health checks for women workers. It has worked with all sectors to promote the role of women and gender equality. He said this would be an important mechanism for the country’s development to progress steadily and sustainably. He reaffirmed that “women are the driving force of the country’s economy.”.
Mr. Suchart continued that this year’s International Women’s Day 2023 event was organized under the concept of “Women Workers: Creating Equality and Valuable Work” to campaign for all sectors of society to realize the importance of working women, to support and encourage working women to have equal and fair rights, enhance the quality of life and support them to be happy at work. The 2023 Outstanding Women Award Ceremony honours outstanding women working as role models. A total of 31 people were recognized from 8 award categories, such as Ms. Chaweewan Uthaiphiboon, Deputy Governor (Planning and Development), Metropolitan Waterworks Authority, and Mrs. Wanpen Burisungnern, Deputy Education Officer for Region 6, performing duties in the Education Office Region 9, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education were awarded in the Outstanding Female Executive Category. Ms. Khemanit Jamikorn was awarded in the Outstanding Female Artist Category. Mrs. Thienrat Nawamawat, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Labour (on politics), was awarded in the Outstanding Female Media Category. Ms. Thongpool Buasri, Project Manager for the Roadside Teacher/Mobile Construction School Project, Children’s Creation Foundation, was awarded the Outstanding Women in NGOs category. In addition, the event also hosted an exhibition of outstanding working women and product demonstrations of outstanding self-employed women.
