เมื่อวันที่ 13 มิถุนายน 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน มอบหมายให้ นายบุญชอบ สุทธมนัสวงษ์ ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมการประชุมรัฐมนตรีแรงงานอาเซียน โดยมี นางสาวอิดา เฟาซิยะ (H.E.Ms.Ida Fauziyah) รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงานของอินโดนีเซีย เป็นประธานการประชุม ณ นครเจนีวา สมาพันธรัฐสวิส
นายบุญชอบ กล่าวว่า การประชุมรัฐมนตรีแรงงานอาเซียนที่นครเจนีวาในครั้งนี้ มีประเทศอินโดนีเซียเป็นเจ้าภาพ ที่ประชุมได้มีวาระสำคัญที่คุณกิลเบิร์ต เอฟ ฮองโบ(Mr. Gilbert F. Houngbo) ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่องค์การแรงงานระหว่างประเทศคนใหม่ได้ขอความร่วมมือจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนเพื่อให้ความร่วมมือในการสนับสนุนโครงการต่างๆ ที่มีความร่วมมือกันให้แน่นแฟ้นมากยิ่งขึ้น ซึ่งผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ไอแอลโอยังได้ชื่นชมประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนที่มีความแข็งแกร่งในการทำงานร่วมกันมาโดยตลอดอยู่แล้ว
นายบุญชอบ กล่าวต่อว่า ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ไอแอลโอยังได้หยิบยกประเด็นการรวมกลุ่มระดับโลก เพื่อความยุติธรรมทางสังคม (Global Coalition for Social Justice) ซึ่งเป็นประเด็นแนวคิดหลักที่ได้ให้ความสำคัญในการประชุมใหญ่ประจำปีองค์การแรงงานระหว่างประเทศ สมัยที่ 111 ในปีนี้ และได้เน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญอีกครั้งเพื่อให้ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนได้ร่วมมือกันขับเคลื่อนให้เป็นรูปธรรมต่อไปอีกด้วย
On June 13, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, to attend the ASEAN Labour Ministers Meeting. The Indonesian Minister of Manpower, Ms. H.E.Ms.Ida Fauziyah chaired the meeting in Geneva, Switzerland.
Mr. Boonchob said that Indonesia hosted the ASEAN Labour Ministers Meeting in Geneva this time. The meeting had an important agenda where Mr. Gilbert F. Houngbo, the new Director-General of the ILO, asked for cooperation from the ASEAN Member States to support projects with stronger collaboration. The ILO Director-General also praised the ASEAN Member States’ continued strength in working together.
Mr. Boonchob said that the ILO Director-General also raised the Global Coalition for Social Justice issue, which is the main theme featured at the 111th Session of the International Labour Conference this year. He stressed the importance of ensuring the ASEAN country members work together for further success.
