วันที่ 16 มีนาคม 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมคณะของ พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ลงพื้นที่จังหวัดระนอง เพื่อติดตามการดำเนินงานสำคัญตามนโยบายรัฐบาล รวมทั้งพัฒนาปรับปรุงการขับเคลื่อนโครงการต่างๆ ให้เป็นไปตามแผนและเป้าหมายที่กำหนดไว้ เกิดผลเป็นรูปธรรมต่อประชาชนในพื้นที่ ตลอดจนติดตามผลการดำเนินงานการแก้ไขปัญหาการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินป่าชายเลนชุมชนเมือง จังหวัดระนอง โดยมี นายศักระ กปิลกาญจน์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดระนอง ผู้บริหารระดับสูงกระทรวงแรงงาน หัวหน้าส่วนราชการหน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงานอาสาสมัครแรงงาน จ.ระนอง หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องและชาวบ้านในพื้นที่ ร่วมต้อนรับ ณ ลานอเนกประสงค์เทศบาลเมืองระนอง อ.เมือง จ.ระนอง
นายสุชาติ กล่าวว่า รัฐบาลภายใต้การนำของ พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการส่งเสริมการประกอบอาชีพแก่กลุ่มวิสาหกิจชุมชนแรงงานนอกระบบ ผู้สูงอายุ และกลุ่มเปราะบาง เพื่อให้เกิดการจ้างงานในระดับพื้นที่สอดคล้องกับนโยบายรัฐบาลที่ได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการส่งเสริมต่อยอดการประกอบอาชีพให้แก่พี่น้องประชาชน โดยเฉพาะที่จังหวัดระนอง ถือเป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวฝั่งอันดามันที่โดดเด่นด้วยทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ทั้งป่าชายเลน บ่อน้ำแร่ และทะเลอันดามัน จึงมีศักยภาพสามารถดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวที่สนใจการท่องเที่ยวเชิงธรรมชาติและสุขภาพได้มากขึ้นทำให้ภาคธุรกิจท่องเที่ยวและบริการกลับมาฟื้นตัว เกิดการจ้างงาน ซึ่งในส่วนของกระทรวงแรงงานได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการเร่งส่งเสริมการประกอบอาชีพให้แก่ประชาชนในพื้นที่ต่าง ๆเพื่อสนับสนุนให้เกิดการจ้างงาน ประชาชนมีทักษะฝีมือ มีงานทำ มีอาชีพและรายได้ที่มั่นคง
โอกาสเดียวกันนี้ รมว.สุชาติ ยังได้นำ นายกรัฐมนตรี เยี่ยมชมบูธของหน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงานจังหวัดระนอง โดยได้พบปะให้กำลังใจกับสมาชิกกลุ่มอาชีพที่มาจัดแสดงผลงาน กลุ่มแรกเป็นกลุ่มนวดเพื่อสุขภาพ ที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสำนักงานจัดหางานจังหวัดระนองตามโครงการขยายโอกาสการมีงานทำให้แก่ผู้สูงอายุ และเยี่ยมชมผลงานและกิจกรรมการฝึกอาชีพของกลุ่มวิสาหกิจชุมชนกาแฟผงสำเร็จรูปบ้านไร่ใน กลุ่มข้าวไร่ปลายคลองสวัสดิ์กลุ่มแต่งผมสุภาพบุรุษ กลุ่มผู้ประกอบการอาหารไทย และกลุ่มนวดฝ่าเท้าเพื่อสุขภาพ ที่ได้รับการฝึกยกระดับฝีมือตามโครงการส่งเสริมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงานในอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวและการบริการ จากสถาบันพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน 44 ระนอง
พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ฯ และ รัฐมนตรีฯ สุชาติ ยังได้พบปะกับหัวหน้าส่วนราชการ ตัวแทนชุมชน กลุ่มแรงงานนอกระบบ ชาวบ้านในพื้นที่ และให้กำลังใจอาสาสมัครแรงงานของจังหวัดระนอง ที่มาร่วมต้อนรับ ซึ่งอาสาสมัครแรงงานเหล่านี้เป็นผู้เชื่อมประสานภารกิจของกระทรวงแรงงานไปสู่พื้นที่ เป็นผู้ที่มีความเสียสละอุทิศตนเพื่อส่วนรวมทำงานใกล้ชิดกับพี่น้องประชาชนในชุมชน ในการนำภารกิจประสานการให้บริการด้านแรงงานเพื่อให้ประชาชนมีงานทำ มีทักษะฝีมือ มีอาชีพ มีรายได้ ได้รับการคุ้มครองและมีหลักประกันทางสังคมที่ยั่งยืนอีกด้วย

On March 16, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, joined the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, General Prayuth Chan-ocha’s delegation to Ranong Province to monitor important operations following the government policies. The visit’s objective was also to develop and improve the propulsion of various projects according to the plan and goals set, to produce tangible results for people in the area. It also followed up on the results of resolving urban mangrove land utilization in Ranong Province. Governor of Ranong Province, Mr. Sakkra Pilkan, the Ministry of Labour’s executives, heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Ranong, labour volunteers, related agencies, and residents gave a welcome. The occasion took place at the multi-purpose yard of Ranong Municipality, Muang District, Ranong Province.
Mr. Suchart said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, the government emphasizes occupational promotion for informal workers, elderly people, and vulnerable groups to create employment at the area level. The efforts align with the government’s policy that prioritizes the importance of career promotion for the people. Ranong Province is a tourist city on the Andaman coast characterized by abundant natural resources such as mangrove forests, mineral springs, and the Andaman Sea. Therefore, it can potentially attract more tourists interested in nature and health, promoting the tourism and services sector to recover and create employment. The Ministry of Labour has emphasized accelerating occupational promotion for people in various areas to encourage skilled people, employment, occupation, and stable income.
On the same occasion, the Labour Minister led the Prime Minister to visit booths by agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Ranong Province. They met and encouraged members of professional groups to exhibit their work. The first group was a health massage group, supported by the Ranong Provincial Employment Office under the project to expand job opportunities for the elderly. They also visited the work and vocational training activities of the Ban Rai Nai Instant Coffee Community Enterprise Group, Plai Klong Sawat Rice Group, Gentlemen’s Hairdressing Group, Thai food businesses, and a healthy foot massage group, who have been trained to improve their skills under the Skill Development Promotion Program in the tourism and service industry from the Ranong Institute of Skill Development 44.
General Prayuth and the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart also met with heads of government agencies, community representatives, informal workers groups, local people, and labour graduates from Ranong Province who came to welcome them, encouraging them. Labour graduates connect the Ministry of Labour’s mission to the area. They are selfless and devoted to the public, working closely with the people in the community in leading the mission to coordinate labour services to enable people to have jobs, skills, occupations, incomes, protection, and sustainable social security.
