วันที่ 15 มีนาคม 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมคณะของ พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ลงพื้นที่จังหวัดนราธิวาส เพื่อร่วมพิธีเปิดแพขนานยนต์ รองรับการขยายตัวทางเศรษฐกิจ การค้า การคมนาคมขนส่ง และการท่องเที่ยว และพบปะหัวหน้าส่วนราชการ ทหาร ตำรวจ ผู้นำท้องถิ่น และผู้นำศาสนาในเขตพื้นที่ โดยมี นายสนั่น พงษ์อักษร ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนราธิวาส ผู้บริหารระดับสูงกระทรวงแรงงาน หัวหน้าส่วนราชการหน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงาน บัณฑิตแรงงานจ.นราธิวาส หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องและชาวบ้านในพื้นที่ ร่วมต้อนรับ ณ ด่านศุลกากร อ.ตากใบและมหาวิทยาลัยนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์ อ.เมือง จ.นราธิวาส
นายสุชาติ กล่าวว่า รัฐบาลภายใต้การนำของ พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการส่งเสริมการประกอบอาชีพแก่กลุ่มแรงงานนอกระบบ ผู้สูงอายุและกลุ่มเปราะบาง เพื่อให้เกิดการจ้างงานในระดับพื้นที่สอดคล้องกับนโยบายรัฐบาลที่ได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการส่งเสริมต่อยอดการประกอบอาชีพให้แก่พี่น้องประชาชน โดยเฉพาะที่จังหวัดนราธิวาสถือเป็นเมืองเศรษฐกิจชายแดนที่สำคัญ ซึ่งรัฐบาลมุ่งเป้าพัฒนาศักยภาพให้เป็นพื้นที่เป้าหมายการพัฒนาเขตพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจพิเศษชายแดน (SEZ) ระยะที่ 2 และกระตุ้นการท่องเที่ยว ซึ่งในส่วนของกระทรวงแรงงานได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการเร่งส่งเสริมการประกอบอาชีพให้แก่ประชาชนในพื้นที่ต่าง ๆ เพื่อสนับสนุนให้เกิดการจ้างงานประชาชนมีทักษะฝีมือ มีงานทำ มีอาชีพและรายได้ที่มั่นคง
โอกาสเดียวกันนี้ รมว.สุชาติ ยังได้นำ นายกรัฐมนตรี เยี่ยมชมบูธของหน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงานจังหวัดนราธิวาส โดยได้พบปะให้กำลังใจกับสมาชิกกลุ่มอาชีพที่มาจัดแสดงผลงาน จำนวน 2 กลุ่ม กลุ่มแรกเป็นกลุ่มสตรีสานเสื่อกระจูดบ้านโคกพะยอม มีสมาชิก 20 คนกลุ่มนี้ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสำนักงานแรงงานจังหวัดนราธิวาส ภายใต้โครงการแก้ไขปัญหาความเดือดร้อนด้านอาชีพ และกลุ่มที่ 2 เยี่ยมชมผลงานและกิจกรรมการฝึกอาชีพตามโครงการพัฒนาทักษะเฉพาะให้แก่แรงงานนอกระบบที่ถือบัตรสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐ ปี 2566 จำนวน 2 หลักสูตร ได้แก่ หลักสูตรการประกอบขนมอบ และหลักสูตรตัดเย็บเสื้อผ้าสตรี หลักสูตรละ 20 คน ระยะเวลาการฝึก 30 ชั่วโมง ดำเนินการฝึกโดยสถาบันพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน 25 นราธิวาสและเยี่ยมชมนิทรรศการโครงการแรงงานพันธุ์ดี ตามวิถีเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ของบริษัทศรีตรัง แอโกรอินดัส จำกัด (มหาชน) สาขานราธิวาส ที่มาแสดงนิทรรศการผลการดำเนินงานและแสดงผลิตผลทางการเกษตร ซึ่งโครงการนี้เพื่อส่งเสริมให้นายจ้าง ลูกจ้างมีส่วนร่วมในการใช้ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่มีอยู่ให้เกิดประโยชน์เพิ่มมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจ สร้างรายได้ และลดภาระค่าใช้จ่ายในครัวเรือน ส่งเสริมให้ลูกจ้างสามารถพึ่งพาตนเองได้และมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีอย่างยั่งยืน
พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ฯ และ รัฐมนตรีฯ สุชาติ ยังได้พบปะกับหัวหน้าส่วนราชการ ตัวแทนชุมชน กลุ่มแรงงานนอกระบบ ชาวบ้านในพื้นที่ และให้กำลังใจบัณฑิตแรงงานของจังหวัดนราธิวาสที่มาร่วมต้อนรับ ซึ่งบัณฑิตแรงงานเหล่านี้เป็นผู้เชื่อมประสานภารกิจของกระทรวงแรงงานไปสู่พื้นที่เป็นผู้ที่มีความเสียสละอุทิศตนเพื่อส่วนรวมทำงานใกล้ชิดกับพี่น้องประชาชนในชุมชน ในการนำภารกิจประสานการให้บริการด้านแรงงานเพื่อให้ประชาชนมีงานทำ มีทักษะฝีมือ มีอาชีพ มีรายได้ ได้รับการคุ้มครองและมีหลักประกันทางสังคมที่ยั่งยืนอีกด้วย

On March 15, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, joined the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, General Prayuth Chan-ocha’s delegation to Narathiwat Province to attend the opening ceremony of the car ferry to support economic growth, trade, and transportation and tourism. They met with heads of government agencies, military, police, local leaders, and religious leaders. Narathiwat Provincial Governor, Mr. Sanan Pongaksorn, the Ministry of Labour’s executives, heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour, labour graduates in Narathiwat province, relevant agencies, and community members in the area gave a welcome. The occasion took place at the customs checkpoint in Tak Bai District and Narathiwat Rajanagarindra University, Muang District, Narathiwat Province.
Mr. Suchart said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, the government emphasizes occupational promotion for the informal worker, elderly people, and vulnerable groups to create employment at the area level. The efforts align with the government’s policy that prioritizes the importance of career promotion for the people. Narathiwat Province is an important border economic city, which the government aims to develop to become a target area for developing the Border Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Phase 2 and to stimulate tourism. The Ministry of Labour has emphasized accelerating occupational promotion for people in various areas to encourage skilled people, employment, occupation, and stable income.
On the same occasion, the Labour Minister led the Prime Minister to visit booths by agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Narathiwat Province. They met and encouraged members from 2 occupational groups to exhibit their work. The first group was the Ban Khok Phayom Krajut Mat Weaving Group, with 20 members. The Narathiwat Provincial Labour Office supports this group under the project to alleviate occupational issues. For the second group, they visited the work and vocational training activities under a specific skills development program for informal workers who hold state welfare cards in 2023. There were two trainings, including a pastry-making course and a women’s tailoring course, with 20 people per course, under 30 hours of training, conducted by the Narathiwat Skill Development Institute 25. They also visited the Pun Dee Labour Project exhibition under the sufficiency economy of Sri Trang Agro-Industry PCL, Narathiwat branch, which came to showcase an exhibition of their work and agricultural products. The project aims to encourage employers and employees to contribute to using available natural resources, adding economic value, generating income, and reducing the burden on household expenses, encouraging employees to be self-reliant and have a sustainable, good quality of life.
General Prayuth and the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart, also met with heads of government agencies, community representatives, informal workers groups, local people, and labour graduates from Narathiwat Province, who came to welcome them, encouraging them. Labour graduates connect the Ministry of Labour’s mission to the area. They are selfless and devoted to the public, working closely with the people in the community in leading the mission to coordinate labour services to enable people to have jobs, skills, occupations, incomes, protection, and sustainable social security.
