วันที่ 12 กรกฎาคม 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เปิดเผยถึงความคืบหน้าการให้ความช่วยเหลือเยียวยาทายาทผู้เสียชีวิตจากเหตุคานสะพานข้ามแยกถล่มในพื้นที่ลาดกระบังว่า ท่านนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา ได้แสดงความเสียใจต่อเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว และกำชับให้กระทรวงแรงงานเร่งให้ความช่วยเหลือทายาทของคนงานที่เสียชีวิตเพื่อให้ได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์โดยด่วน ผมได้สั่งการให้สำนักงานประกันสังคมตรวจสอบข้อมูลความเป็นผู้ประกันตนของลูกจ้างที่เสียชีวิต เพื่อเร่งประสานการช่วยเหลือเยียวยาตามขั้นตอนให้ได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์โดยเร็ว
นายสุชาติ กล่าวต่อว่า จากการตรวจสอบของสำนักงานประกันสังคมกรุงเทพมหานครพื้นที่ 10 พบว่า ลูกจ้างที่เสียชีวิตซึ่งเป็นผู้ประกันตนจำนวน 2 ราย ล่าสุดญาติได้เคลื่อนย้ายศพเพื่อนำไปประกอบพิธีทางศาสนาในภูมิลำเนาแล้ว โดยศพของนายอรัญ สังขรักษ์ ญาติได้เคลื่อนย้ายไปยังจังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ และศพของนายฉัตรชัย ประเสริฐ ญาติได้เคลื่อนย้ายไปที่วัดพังกิ่ง อ.กงหรา จ.พัทลุง ในส่วนของกระทรวงแรงงาน ผมได้สั่งการให้สำนักงานประกันสังคมจ่ายเงินเยียวยาให้ครอบครัวผู้เสียชีวิตทั้ง 2 ครอบครัว เนื่องจากเป็นการประสบอันตรายจากการทำงาน ทายาทของผู้เสียชีวิตจะได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์จากกองทุนเงินทดแทน โดยทายาทของนายอรัญ สังขรักษ์ มีสิทธิได้รับเงินค่าทำศพ 50,000 บาท ค่าทดแทนกรณีเสียชีวิตร้อยละ 70 ของค่าจ้างเป็นระยะเวลา 10 ปี เป็นเงิน 770,952 บาท รวมเป็นเงินจำนวน 820,952 บาท ส่วนทายาทของนายฉัตรชัย ประเสริฐ มีสิทธิได้รับเงินค่าทำศพ 50,000 บาท ค่าทดแทนกรณีเสียชีวิตร้อยละ 70 ของค่าจ้างเป็นระยะเวลา 10 ปี เป็นเงินจำนวน 1,680,000 บาท เงินบำเหน็จชราภาพ จำนวน 89,190 บาท รวมเป็นเงินทั้งสิ้น 1,819,190 บาท ทั้งนี้ สำนักงานประกันสังคมจังหวัดในพื้นที่ภูมิลำเนาของผู้เสียชีวิตทั้งสองราย ได้ลงพื้นที่ประสานทายาทของผู้เสียชีวิต เพื่อนำเงินสิทธิประโยชน์ทดแทนดังกล่าวไปมอบให้แก่ทายาทโดยชอบธรรมตามกฎหมาย ส่วนลูกจ้างที่ได้รับบาดเจ็บ ซึ่งเป็นผู้ประกันตน ขณะนี้ยังคงพักรักษาตัวที่อยู่โรงพยาบาลจุฬารัตน์ 9 แอร์พอร์ต จำนวน 3 ราย มีสิทธิได้รับเงินทดแทน เป็นค่ารักษาพยาบาลเท่าที่จ่ายจริงตามความจำเป็นและสิทธิประโยชน์ทดแทน ซึ่งสำนักงานประกันสังคมจะเร่งดำเนินการเยียวยากรณีดังกล่าวเพื่อให้ลูกจ้างและทายาทได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์พึงได้ตามกฎหมายโดยเร็วต่อไป

He said that the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha expressed his regrets about the incident and instructed the Ministry of Labour to urgently help the families of the deceased workers to ensure they receive entitled benefits immediately. The Labour Minister instructed the Social Security Office to verify the deceased employees’ insured status to accelerate the coordination of assistance and remedies as soon as possible.
Mr. Suchart continued that the Bangkok Social Security Office Area 10 confirmed the insured status of the deceased employees. Recently, their relatives moved their bodies for religious ceremonies in their hometowns. The body of Mr. Aran Sangkharak was moved to Phetchabun Province, and the body of Mr. Chatchai Prasert was moved to Phangking Temple, Kongra District, Phatthalung Province. The Labour Minister instructed the Social Security Office to compensate both families. Both families will receive benefits from the Compensation Fund. The family of Mr. Aran Sangkharak is entitled to a funeral payment of 50,000 Baht, compensation in the case of death of 70 percent of wages for 10 years, amounting to 770,952 Baht, totaling 820,952 Baht. Mr. Chatchai Prasert’s family is entitled to funeral expenses of 50,000 Baht, compensation in the case of death of 70 percent of wages for 10 years, amounting to 1,680,000 Baht, and old-age gratuity amounting to 89,190 Baht, totaling 1,819,190 Baht. The Provincial Social Security Officer in the domicile area of the two deceased employees coordinated with the families and presented compensation benefits to the legitimate dependents under the law. Three injured employees are insured persons still receiving treatment at Chularat 9 Airport Hospital. They are entitled to compensation for medical expenses as paid and as necessary and substitution benefits. The Social Security Office will speed up remedies in such cases so that employees and their families will be entitled to legal benefits as soon as possible.
