วันที่ 23 มิถุนายน 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน มอบหมายให้ ดร. สุเทพ ชิตยวงษ์ เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ลงพื้นที่เปิดงาน Job Expo Phuket 2023 “สร้างคน สร้างงาน สร้างอาชีพ เมืองไข่มุกอันดามันอย่างมีคุณภาพ” โดยมี นายสันติ นันตสุวรรณ รองอธิบดีกรมการจัดหางาน กล่าวรายงานและนายดนัยสุนันทารอด รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ให้การต้อนรับท่ามกลางแขกผู้มีเกียรติและประชาชนผู้เข้าร่วมงาน ณ ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัลภูเก็ต
ดร. สุเทพ ชิตยวงษ์ เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เปิดเผยว่า กระทรวงแรงงาน ส่งเสริมให้ประชาชนมีงานทำ มีรายได้เลี้ยงดูตนเองและครอบครัว โดยเตรียมและพัฒนากำลังแรงงาน สร้างการรับรู้แนวโน้มความต้องการแรงงานในพื้นที่ เพื่อให้เกิดการจ้างงานที่มั่นคง สอดคล้องกับยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ ที่กำหนดให้มีการพัฒนาระบบบริหารจัดการแบบบูรณาการอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการให้บริการที่สามารถตอบสนองความต้องการของประชาชนได้อย่างสะดวก รวดเร็ว และเป็นที่พึงพอใจ พร้อมเปิดโลกอาชีพเตรียมความพร้อมให้นักเรียน นักศึกษา ก่อนเข้าสู่ตลาดแรงงาน ยกระดับการพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน Up-skill, Re-skill, New skill ที่จำเป็นในโลกของการทำงาน
“ผมขอขอบคุณ หน่วยงานภาคีเครือข่ายทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนในจังหวัดภูเก็ตที่ร่วมแรงร่วมใจจัดงานนี้ขึ้น เพื่อเป็นอีกแนวทางหนึ่งในการขับเคลื่อนการเสริมสร้างความสามารถของประเทศ ในยุคแห่งการฟื้นฟู เยียวยา และสร้างความพร้อมในการรับมือการเปลี่ยนแปลงและแสวงหาโอกาสจากการเป็นสังคมผู้สูงวัย ภัยโรคระบาด COVID-19 ให้ภาครัฐสามารถตอบสนองต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงบริบททางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และเทคโนโลยีอย่างทันเวลามีประสิทธิภาพ” ดร. สุเทพ กล่าว
ด้านนายสันติ นันตสุวรรณ รองอธิบดีกรมการจัดหางาน กล่าวว่า กรมการจัดหางานโดยสำนักงานจัดหางานจังหวัดภูเก็ตเล็งเห็นถึงความสำคัญการเตรียมพร้อมด้านกำลังแรงงาน การพัฒนาศักยภาพทรัพยากรมนุษย์ การสร้างโอกาสและความเสมอภาคทางสังคม จึงจัดงาน Job Expo Phuket 2023 ขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 23 – 24 มิถุนายน 2566 ตั้งแต่เวลา 10.00 -18.00 น. ณ บริเวณลาน Public House Central Festival (ลานลม) ชั้น 1 และ Floresta Mini Convention Hall ชั้น 2 ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัลภูเก็ต เพื่อสร้างโอกาสให้ผู้สมัครงาน นายจ้างหรือสถานประกอบการได้พบกันและพิจารณาคัดเลือกกันโดยตรง ประหยัดเวลา ลดค่าใช้จ่ายของทั้งสองฝ่าย โดยกิจกรรมภายในงานประกอบด้วย บูธนายจ้างสถานประกอบการชั้นนำในจังหวัดภูเก็ตและจังหวัดข้างเคียงจำนวน 80 แห่ง ควบคู่การรับสมัครงานออนไลน์ จำนวน 150 แห่ง ทั้งงานพาร์ทไทม์งานสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ งานสำหรับผู้พิการ และงานสำหรับนักศึกษาจบใหม่ หน่วยงานภาครัฐและรัฐวิสาหกิจ โดยมีตำแหน่งว่างกว่า 30,000 อัตรา และยังมีการรับสมัครงานเพื่อไปทำงานต่างประเทศ จำนวนกว่า 1,700 อัตรา อาทิ เกาหลีใต้ มาเลเซียซาอุดิอาระเบีย ออสเตรเลีย ญี่ปุ่น นอกจากนี้ยังมีกิจกรรมหลักที่น่าสนใจ ได้แก่นิทรรศการเฉลิมพระเกียรติศาสตร์พระราชา กิจกรรมรับสมัครงานจากนายจ้างสถานประกอบการ หาคนที่ใช่ ได้งานที่ชอบ Job Matching กิจกรรมรวมใจ สร้างงาน พัฒนาอาชีพ เป็นกิจกรรมที่ส่งเสริมและพัฒนาให้ประชาชนก้าวไปสู่ Start Up การเป็นเจ้าของกิจการด้วยตนเอง มีกิจกรรมสาธิตพร้อมฝึกปฏิบัติการประกอบอาชีพอิสระ จำนวน 20 อาชีพ อาทิ การทำผ้าบาติก กระเป๋าผ้าปาเต๊ะ ห่อหมกภูเก็ต หมี่หุ้นกระดูกหมู เป็นต้นการจัดนิทรรศการเปิดโลกอาชีพในภาคธุรกิจท่องเที่ยวและบริการ โดยเป็นการจัดนิทรรศการการจำลองโลกแห่งการทำงาน โลกอาชีพ และกิจกรรมอื่นๆอีกมากมาย

On June 23, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Dr. Suthep Chitvong, to commence the Job Expo Phuket 2023 event, “Creating Quality People, Jobs, and Careers in the Pearl City of the.” The Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General, Mr. Santi Nantasuwan, gave a report. Deputy Governor of Phuket, Mr. Danai Sunandarad, gave a welcome among distinguished guests and attendees at Central Phuket.
The Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Dr. Suthep Chitvong, revealed that the Ministry of Labour supports people with jobs and income to support themselves and their families by preparing and developing the workforce. It strives to create awareness of the labour demands and trends in the area to achieve stable employment in line with the national strategy. It requires the continuous development of an integrated management system to increase the efficiency of services that can meet the needs of the people conveniently, quickly, and satisfactorily. It is prepared to open up a career world to prepare students before entering the labour market, raising the level of skill development through upskilling, reskilling, and new skills necessary in the world of work.
“I would like to thank the affiliated organizations, both public and private sectors in Phuket, for organizing this event. It is another way to drive the country’s capacity building in an era of rehabilitation, healing, and building readiness to cope with changes. The event looks to seek opportunities from an aging society and the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling the government sector to respond to changes in economic, social, and technological contexts efficiently,” said Dr. Suthep.
The Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General, Mr. Santi Nantasuwan, said that the Department of Employment, by the Phuket Provincial Employment Office, recognizes the importance of preparing the workforce and human resource development to create opportunities and social equality. Therefore, the Job Expo Phuket 2023 was organized between June 23 to 24, 2023, from 10.00 hours to 18.00 hours, at the Public House Central Festival (Lan Lom) on the first floor and the Floresta Mini Convention Hall on the second floor in the Central Phuket Shopping Center. The event aims to create opportunities for job applicants where employers or establishments can meet and consider candidates directly. It saves time and reduces costs for both parties. The activities within the event include 80 leading employers’ booths in Phuket and neighboring provinces, along with 150 jobs available for online applications. There were part-time jobs, jobs for the elderly, people with disabilities, and jobs for new graduates in government agencies and state enterprises. There were over 30,000 vacancies and over 1,700 job opportunities to work abroad, such as in South Korea, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Japan. There were also activities such as an exhibition in honour of His Majesty the King, recruitment activities by employers and establishments to find the right candidate, and helping candidates get the job they like. Job matching was an activity to unite, create jobs, and develop careers. It is an activity that promotes and develops people to move towards startups and entrepreneurship. There were demonstration activities and skill practices in 20 independent occupations, such as batik making, batik bags, Phuket steamed buns, and pork bone noodles. The exhibition opens up a world of careers in the tourism and service sectors. The exhibition simulates the world of work and many other activities.
