วันที่ 5 มีนาคม 2567 นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เปิดเผยถึงกรณีตามที่กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้แจ้งว่าเมื่อวานนี้ (4 มี.ค.67) ได้เกิดเหตุการณ์จรวดต่อต้านรถถังถูกยิงจากฝั่งเลบานอนข้ามมายังชายแดนทางตอนเหนือของอิสราเอลบริเวณนิคมเกษตร Margaliot คนไทยได้รับบาดเจ็บนั้นว่า ทันทีที่ทราบข่าวผมมีความห่วงใยต่อแรงงานไทยที่ไปทำงานอยู่ในประเทศอิสราเอลจากผลกระทบของเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว จึงได้สั่งการให้อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา (ฝ่ายแรงงาน) ประจำสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเทลอาวีฟ ประเทศอิสราเอลเร่งตรวจสอบติดตามสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ชิด และหาทางช่วยเหลือแรงงานไทยอย่างต่อเนื่อง
นายพิพัฒน์ กล่าวต่อว่า จากรายงานของ นายกิตติ์ธนา ศรีสุริยะ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา (ฝ่ายแรงงาน) ประจำสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเทลอาวีฟ เบื้องต้นพบว่า ฝ่ายแรงงานฯ ได้รับแจ้งจาก The Megan David Adom หน่วยแพทย์ฉุกเฉินของอิสราเอล ทราบว่า เมื่อวานนี้ (4 มี.ค.67) เวลา 21.00 น.มีการยิงขีปนาวุธต่อต้านรถถังจากฝั่งเลบานอนไปยังบริเวณ โมชาฟ มาการิออท ทางภาคเหนือของอิสราเอล ทำให้แรงงานไทยได้รับบาดเจ็บ 5 ราย ในจำนวนนี้มีอาการหนักปานกลาง จำนวน 3 รายรักษาตัวที่โรงพยาบาล Rambam เมือง Haifa ที่เหลือได้รับบาดเจ็บเล็กน้อย 2 ราย (Ziv medical center) ขณะนี้แพทย์อนุญาตให้ออกจากโรงพยาบาลได้ 1 ราย ซึ่งนายจ้างพาไปพักสถานที่ที่ปลอดภัยแล้ว
“ขอให้ญาติของแรงงานไทยที่ไปทำงานในประเทศอิสราเอล อย่าเพิ่งตื่นตระหนก ขอให้มั่นใจว่า รัฐบาลไทยทั้งสถานทูตและกระทรวงแรงงานจะให้การคุ้มครอง ดูแล อย่างดีที่สุด และจะเร่งติดตามสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ชิด และขอให้แรงงานไทยที่ทำงานอยู่ในอิสราเอลที่ได้รับผลกระทบดังกล่าว ปฏิบัติตามมาตรการของทางการอิสราเอลอย่างเคร่งครัด และแจ้งข้อมูลมายังฝ่ายแรงงาน ประจำสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเทลอาวีฟ เพื่อจะได้วางแผนในการให้ความช่วยเหลือต่อไป” นายพิพัฒน์ กล่าวท้ายสุด
ด้าน นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า ในส่วนของการดำเนินการที่ประเทศไทยผมได้สั่งการให้หน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงานที่เป็นพื้นที่ที่เป็นภูมิลำเนาของแรงงานไทยที่ได้รับบาดเจ็บ เพื่อลงพื้นที่เยี่ยมบ้านแจ้งข้อมูลข่าวสารสร้างขวัญกำลังใจพร้อมชี้แจงการให้ความช่วยเหลือเกี่ยวกับสิทธิประโยชน์ที่พึงได้รับตามกฎหมายให้แก่ญาติทราบในทันที
ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน ยังได้เน้นย้ำสำหรับแรงงานไทยที่จะเดินทางไปทำงานต่างประเทศ ขอให้ไปทำงานอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมายจะได้รับการคุ้มครอง และสมัครเป็นสมาชิกกองทุนเพื่อช่วยเหลือคนหางานไปทำงานในต่างประเทศ จะได้รับการดูแลสิทธิประโยชน์หากประสบอันตราย หรือประสบปัญหาเหมือนเช่นกรณีดังกล่าว ซึ่งสามารถโทรสอบถามได้ที่สายด่วนกระทรวงแรงงาน 1506 กด 2 กรมการจัดหางาน
On March 5, 2024, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, spoke about the case where yesterday (March 4, 2024), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed them of an incident where an anti-tank rocket was fired from Lebanon across to the northern border of Israel in the Margaliot agricultural settlement, in which a Thai person was injured. As soon as he heard the news, he was concerned about the Thai workers working in Israel and the impact of this incident. Therefore, he ordered the Minister Counsellor (on Labour) to the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, to inspect and monitor the situation closely and continually look for ways to help Thai workers.
Mr. Phiphat said that the initial report from the Minister Counselor (on Labour) at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv, Mr. Kitthana Srisuriya, found that the Labour Department was informed by Megan David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical unit, that yesterday (March 4, 2024) at 21.00 hours, an anti-tank missile was fired from Lebanon into the Mo. Shav Margariot area in northern Israel. This caused 5 Thai workers to be injured, of whom three were in moderate severity, being treated at Rambam Hospital in Haifa. The remaining two were slightly injured (in Ziv Medical Center). At this time, doctors allowed one to be discharged from the hospital, and the employer has taken them to a safe place to stay.
“I would like to ask for the relatives of Thai workers working in Israel to not be alarmed. Please be sure that the Thai government, both the Embassy and the Ministry of Labour, will provide the utmost protection and care and monitor the situation closely. I request that Thai workers working in Israel who are affected as such strictly follow the measures of the Israeli authorities and report information to the Labour Department at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv in order to plan further assistance,” said Mr. Phiphat.
The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasathien, said that regarding the operations in Thailand, he has instructed agencies under the Ministry of Labour that are in the domicile areas of the injured Thai workers to visit the families’ homes to provide news and information, build morale, and explain the support regarding benefits that workers should receive according to the law.
The Permanent Secretary of Labour emphasized that Thai workers who travel to work abroad should do so legally to ensure their protection. He also encouraged them to apply to join the fund to help job seekers working abroad. The benefits cover danger or problems like the aforementioned case.
