วันที่ 26 ธันวาคม 2566 นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เปิดเผยว่า ตามที่ได้เกิดฝนตกหนักน้ำท่วมฉับพลันน้ำป่าไหลหลากและดินโคลนถล่มในพื้นที่จังหวัดสงขลา ปัตตานี ยะลา นราธิวาส และสตูล จนทำให้บ้านเรือนประชาชนได้รับความเสียหายเป็นจำนวนมากในขณะนี้นั้น ซึ่งท่านเศรษฐา ทวีสิน นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง ได้มีความห่วงใยพี่น้องประชาชนที่ประสบอุทกภัย โดยได้สั่งการให้ส่วนราชการและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวเร่งในพื้นที่ต่างระดมให้การช่วยเหลือและดูแลประชาชนที่เดือดร้อนในทันทีนั้น
นายพิพัฒน์ กล่าวต่อว่า ในส่วนของกระทรวงแรงงาน ผมมีความห่วงใยต่อสถานการณ์ดังกล่าวและเบื้องต้นได้รับรายงานจากนายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงานว่า ได้กำชับให้ส่วนราชการในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงานในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ที่ประสบอุทกภัยเฝ้าระวังติดตามสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ชิด สำรวจความเสียหายและให้ความช่วยเหลือแก่ผู้ได้รับผลกระทบโดยเฉพาะข้าราชการ เจ้าหน้าที่ อาสาสมัครแรงงานและบัณฑิตแรงงานในพื้นที่ บูรณาการให้ความช่วยเหลือพี่น้องผู้ใช้แรงงานและประชาชนเป็นการเร่งด่วน ทั้งสนับสนุนการขนย้าย อพยพ เร่งระบายน้ำ การมอบสิ่งของเพื่อบรรเทาความเดือดร้อน รวมถึงจัดให้มีการประชาสัมพันธ์ให้ประชาชนได้รับทราบสถานการณ์อุทกภัยอย่างต่อเนื่อง เร่งบูรณาการสนับสนุนความช่วยเหลือผู้ใช้แรงงาน ลูกจ้างผู้ประกันตน และประชาชนในพื้นที่ที่ได้รับความเดือดร้อนกับทางจังหวัดในแต่ละจังหวัด โดยเฉพาะการเคลื่อนย้ายประชาชนไปในสถานที่ที่ปลอดภัย และสนับสนุนเครื่องอุปโภคบริโภคของใช้ที่จำเป็นเพื่อบรรเทาความเดือดร้อนในเบื้องต้น
“ผมขอส่งกำลังใจและความห่วงใยมายังพี่น้องผู้ใช้แรงงานที่ประสบอุทกภัยในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ ผมได้กำชับให้ส่วนราชการสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงาน (5 เสือแรงงาน) ในพื้นน้ำท่วมและเฝ้าระวังสถานการณ์ พร้อมเร่งให้ความช่วยเหลือตามภารกิจกระทรวงแรงงานอย่างเต็มกำลัง”นายพิพัฒน์ กล่าวท้ายสุด
ทั้งนี้ ลูกจ้าง นายจ้าง และประชาชนที่ประสบอุทกภัยในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ที่ได้รับความเดือดร้อนและต้องการขอรับความช่วยเหลือจากหน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงานในพื้นที่ หรือสามารถติดต่อสอบถามรายละเอียดได้ที่สายด่วนกระทรวงแรงงาน 1506
On December 26, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, said that due to heavy rains, flash floods and mudslides have occurred throughout Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, and Satun Provinces, causing a large amount of damage to people’s homes. The Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Srettha Thavisin, is concerned about the people affected by the floods. He has instructed the government and related agencies to mobilize and provide assistance and care to the people in distress immediately.
Mr. Phiphat continued that on the Ministry of Labour’s part, he is concerned about this situation. He has received an initial report from the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, that he has urged government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in the flood-affected southern region to closely monitor the situation, to survey the damage and provide assistance to those affected, especially government officials, labour volunteers and labour graduates in the area. He has urged agencies to work together to assist the workforce and the public, supporting with moving, evacuating, accelerating drainage, and providing items to alleviate suffering. He has also asked to keep the public informed about the flood situation on a continuous basis, to accelerate support and assistance to workers, insured persons, and people in the area who have suffered in each province, especially moving people to a safe place and supporting with necessary consumer goods to provide initial relief.
“I would like to send my encouragement and care to the workers affected by the flooding in the southern region. I have instructed government agencies under the Ministry of Labor (the five labour tigers) to go to the flooded areas and monitor the situation, staying ready to provide any assistance that may be needed according to the Ministry of Labour’s missions,” Mr. Phiphat concluded.
