วันที่ 24 พฤษภาคม 2567 เวลา 09.00 น. นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานการมอบโอวาทแก่แรงงานไทยที่จะเดินทางไปทำงานไต้หวัน และญี่ปุ่น จำนวน 126 คน โดยมี นายอารี ไกรนรา เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน นายภุชงค์ วรศรี ประจำสำนักเลขาธิการนายกรัฐมนตรี นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหารระดับสูงกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมเป็นเกียรติในงาน ณ ห้องประชุมกระทรวงแรงงาน ชั้น 5 อาคารกระทรวงแรงงาน
นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เปิดเผยว่า กระทรวงแรงงานตั้งเป้าหมายจัดส่งแรงงานไทยไปทำงานต่างประเทศ 100,000 อัตรา ภายในปี 2567 เพื่อส่งเสริมให้พี่น้องแรงงานไทย มีรายได้มั่นคง และยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตให้ดีขึ้น ความคืบหน้าล่าสุด ได้ส่งคนหางานไปทำงานต่างประเทศแล้ว 60,769 คน หรือร้อยละ 60.7 ใน 139 ประเทศ ซึ่ง 5 อันดับแรกที่มีการจัดส่งแรงงานไทยไปทำงานมากที่สุด ได้แก่ ไต้หวัน สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ญี่ปุ่น สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว และสหรัฐอเมริกา สำหรับวันนี้มีแรงงานไทยที่เตรียมตัวเดินทางไปทำงานต่างประเทศอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย เดินทางมาเข้ารับการอบรมก่อนเดินทาง จำนวน 126 คน ในจำนวนนี้จะเดินทางไปทำงานในไต้หวัน 119 คน ในตำแหน่ง พนักงานผลิตชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์ และคนงานก่อสร้าง อัตราเงินเดือน 31,041 บาท และญี่ปุ่น 7 คน ในตำแหน่งพนักงานการเกษตร และพนักงานซักรีด อัตราเงินเดือน 44,146 – 45,191 บาท ซึ่งทั้งหมดจะเดินทางด้วยวิธีบริษัทจัดหางานจัดส่ง
ในการนี้รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงานได้มอบโอวาทแก่คนหางาน ณ ห้องประชุมชั้น 5 อาคารกระทรวงแรงงาน “ขอให้ทุกคนตั้งใจทำงานและรับผิดชอบงานที่ได้รับมอบหมายให้ดีที่สุด ปฏิบัติตนตามกฎหมายและวัฒนธรรมของประเทศปลายทาง ไม่ยุ่งเกี่ยวกับยาเสพติด สิ่งมึนเมา และการพนันทุกชนิด ที่สำคัญคือต้องวางแผนการออมเงิน เพื่อให้มีรายได้เพียงพอ กลับมาต่อยอดการทำงานในประเทศไทย หลังจากเสร็จสิ้นสัญญาจ้าง และขอให้การทำงานในต่างประเทศเป็นไปด้วยความสำเร็จ ราบรื่น มีความสุข มีสุขภาพแข็งแรง และเดินทางโดยสวัสดิภาพ”
ด้านนายสมชาย มรกตศรีวรรณ อธิบดีกรมการจัดหางาน กล่าวว่า แรงงานไทยที่จะเดินทางไปทำงานต่างประเทศอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมายจะต้องผ่านการอบรมคนหางาน เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมให้แรงงานไทยได้มีความรู้เข้าใจขั้นตอนการไปทำงานในต่างประเทศและปฏิบัติได้ถูกต้อง ทราบเงื่อนไขตามสัญญาจ้างงาน สภาพการจ้าง และขนบธรรมเนียม วัฒนธรรม ประเพณี มีความพร้อมในการทำงานและเกิดความมั่นใจ รวมทั้งรู้ช่องทางขอความช่วยเหลือ ทราบสิทธิประโยชน์ และการคุ้มครองคนหางานตามกฎหมาย รวมทั้งแนะนำการสมัครสมาชิกกองทุนเพื่อช่วยเหลือคนหางานไปทำงานในต่างประเทศ เพื่อรับความคุ้มครอง และสิทธิประโยชน์ที่กฎหมายกำหนด หากเกิดเหตุไม่คาดคิด หรือเกิดสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉินในขณะเป็นสมาชิกกองทุนฯ อาทิ กรณีถูกทอดทิ้งในต่างประเทศ กรณีประสบอันตรายก่อนไปทำงานหรือขณะทำงานในต่างประเทศ กรณีถูกเลิกจ้างจากสาเหตุประสบอันตราย กรณีประสบอันตรายจนพิการ กรณีถูกส่งกลับเนื่องจากเป็นโรคต้องห้าม และกรณีประสบปัญหาจากภัยสงคราม ภัยธรรมชาติ หรือโรคระบาด

On May 24, 2024, at 09.00 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, presided over an address to 126 Thai workers who will travel to work in Taiwan and Japan. The Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Aree Krainara, from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat’s Office, Mr. Phuchong Worasri, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives joined the occasion at the Ministry of Labour’s meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour.
The Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, revealed that the Ministry of Labour has set a goal of sending 100,000 Thai workers to work abroad by 2024, encouraging Thai workers to have a stable income and improve their quality of life. In the latest developments, it has sent 60,769 workers abroad to 139 countries, reaching 60.7 percent of its goal. The top five countries where Thai workers are sent to are Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Laos, and the United States. Today, 126 Thai workers were preparing to travel to work abroad legally. The workers were receiving pre-departure training. Of the 126 workers, 119 people will travel to work in Taiwan as auto parts production employees and construction workers, with a salary of 31,041 Baht, and seven workers to Japan as agricultural employees and laundry staff, with a salary of 44,146 to 45,191 Baht. All of the workers will travel via employment delivery companies.
In this regard, the Labour Minister advised job seekers at the conference room on the 5th floor of the Ministry of Labour. “We ask everyone to work hard and take the best responsibility for their assigned tasks. Conduct yourself according to the laws and culture of the destination country. Do not get involved with drugs, intoxicants, and gambling of any kind. The important thing is to plan your savings to have sufficient income and to come back to continue working in Thailand after completing the employment contract period. May your work abroad be successful, smooth, happy, and healthy. I wish you safe travels.”
The Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Somchai Morakotsriwa, said that Thai workers who will legally travel to work abroad must undergo training to equip them with the knowledge and understanding of procedures for working abroad and to perform them correctly, to know the conditions under the employment contract, employment conditions, and customs, cultures, and traditions in the local country. The goal of the training is to help workers be prepared to work and gain confidence, including knowing how to ask for help and understanding the benefits and protection of overseas workers according to law. The training also provides recommendations for applying for membership to the fund that helps workers working abroad to receive protection and benefits specified by law. The fund supports its members in the event that something unexpected happens or an emergency occurs, such as in the case of being abandoned in a foreign country, experiencing danger before going to work or while working abroad, being terminated due to risk, experiencing danger that causes disability, being sent back because of a prohibited disease, and in the case of experiencing problems from war, natural disasters, or epidemics.
