วันที่ 19 กรกฎาคม 2566 นายสุชาติ ชมกลิ่น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานกล่าวให้โอวาทแก่คณะเยาวชนตัวแทนประเทศไทยในการเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 13 เพื่อเป็นการสร้างขวัญและกำลังใจให้กับเยาวชนผู้แทนประเทศไทย โดยมี นายบุญชอบ สุทธมนัสวงษ์ ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหารระดับสูงกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมเป็นเกียรติในครั้งนี้ด้วย ทั้งนี้ นางสาวบุปผา เรืองสุด อธิบดีกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน ได้นำคณะเยาวชนจำนวน 24 คน เข้ารับโอวาทจากรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ณ ห้องจัตุมงคล ชั้น 6 อาคารกระทรวงแรงงาน
นายสุชาติ กล่าวว่า รัฐบาลภายใต้การนำของท่านนายกรัฐมนตรี พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา ให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาศักยภาพกำลังแรงงานเพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ และในวันนี้ท่านนายกรัฐมนตรีฝากส่งกำลังใจมาให้น้องๆเยาวชนทุกคนที่เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียนในครั้งนี้ ผมในฐานะรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงานมีความยินดีและภูมิใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ได้มีโอกาสพบกับตัวแทนประเทศไทยที่เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียนที่สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ ผมขอให้เยาวชนตัวแทนประเทศไทยทุกคนที่เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันได้แสดงฝีมืออย่างเต็มกำลังความสามารถให้เป็นที่ประจักษ์แก่นานาอารยประเทศ เพื่อนำพาชื่อเสียงมาสู่ประเทศไทย อีกทั้งการเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้ เป็นการยกระดับฝีมือของตนเองให้สูงขึ้น และเป็นแบบอย่างให้กับคนรุ่นต่อไป ได้เล็งเห็นถึงความสำคัญในการพัฒนาฝีมือตนเอง และเพื่อยกระดับฐานะทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคมของประเทศตามนโยบายของรัฐบาล นอกจากนี้ ยังเป็นการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ นำมาซึ่งการลงทุนจากต่างประเทศ ส่งผลให้ประเทศมีรายได้และเกิดการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน
สำหรับเยาวชนที่เข้ารับโอวาทจากรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงานทั้งหมดนี้ จะเดินทางไปเข้าร่วมแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 13 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 23 – 25 กรกฎาคมนี้ ณ สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ โดยการแข่งขันฝีมือแรงงานอาเซียนได้จัดมาแล้ว12 ครั้ง กระทรวงแรงงาน โดยกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน เป็นหน่วยงานหลักในการเตรียมการและจัดส่งเยาวชนมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ในปีนี้มีการแข่งขันทั้งสิ้น 22 สาขา ในส่วนขแงประเทศไทยได้จัดส่งเยาวชนเข้าร่วม 12 สาขา ได้แก่ เมคคาทรอนิกส์ (ประเภททีม) หุ่นยนต์เคลื่อนที่ (ประเภททีม) เขียนแบบวิศวกรรมเครื่องกลด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์ เว็บดีไซน์ เทคโนโลยีระบบไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร การแต่งผม แฟชั่นเทคโนโลยี เทคโนโลยียานยนต์ การประกอบอาหาร การบริการอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม เทคโนโลยีระบบทำความเย็น และกราฟิกดีไซน์
On July 19, 2023, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, presided over the speech to the young representatives of Thailand participating in the 13th ASEAN Skills Competition to build morale and encouragement among Thailand’s representatives. The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, and the Ministry of Labour’s senior executives joined the occasion. The Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, led the 24 youths to receive the speech from the Labour Minister at the Chatumongkol Room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour.
Mr. Suchart said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, gives importance to developing the workforce’s potential to increase the country’s competitiveness. Today, the Prime Minister encouraged all the young people participating in the ASEAN Skills Competition. The Labour Minister said he was very pleased and proud to have the opportunity to meet with the representatives of Thailand participating in the ASEAN Skills Competition in Singapore. He urged all Thai representatives in the competition to show their skills with their full potential to showcase Thailand internationally. In addition, participating in this competition raises one’s skills, allowing them to be a role model for the next generation. It encourages participants to realize the importance of self-development and to raise the country’s economic and social status following the government’s policy. It also increases the country’s competitiveness, attracting investments from abroad. As a result, the country will have a stable income and sustainable development.
All young participants who received the speech from the Labour Minister will travel to participate in the 13th ASEAN Skills Competition, held from July 23 to 25 in Singapore. The ASEAN Skills Competition has been held 12 times already. The Ministry of Labour’s Department of Skill Development is the main agency in preparing and delivering youths. This year there are a total of 22 competition branches. In Thailand, youths have been sent to participate in 12 disciplines, including mechatronics (team), mobile robotics (team), computer mechanical design and drawing, web design, building electrical technology, hairdressing, fashion technology, automotive technology, food and beverage service, and cooking, cooling technology, and graphic design.
