Labour Minister Encourages Thai Workers Deployed Abroad to Save and Collect Experiences to Add Professional Value

        Secretariat to the Labour Minister gave a testimony to workers travelling to work in foreign countries, to work hard, be responsible, compliant with the laws and culture of each country and to not get involved with drugs, intoxication and gambling. He encouraged the workers to save up and send money back to their families, while also collecting experience to use when they return to Thailand.

 

 

 

          On October 25, 2019, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Lt. Gen. Nuntadech Meksawat presided over a speech to workers going to work overseas at the job seeker training room, before being deployed for work abroad, on the 11th floor, Bangkok Social Security Office Building Area 3. The Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General and Acting Director-General Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat gave a report. The Secretariat to the Labour Minister congratulated everyone traveling to work abroad. To get to today, all workers had gone through the selection processes, practicing working skills for the work that they will be doing overseas. He commended the effort in practice and patience to make it to today, which will be important for work and living abroad.
          Lt. Gen. Nuntadech encouraged everyone to work hard and be responsible for the work assigned to them. He urged them to comply with the laws and culture of each country and not to interfere with drugs, intoxicants and gambling. The Secretariat also encouraged the workers to save and send back money to families in Thailand and collect working experiences to use when they return to Thailand. When the employment contract is complete and workers return to Thailand, the ministry will help them find a job, which will be conveyed to family members or people in the community. He said that if everyone follows the above, it will benefit themselves, their family and reputation of Thailand, which will affect the number of Thai workers who will travel to work in other generations to continue.
          The Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General and Acting Director-General Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawatsaid that today, 291 people are working overseas through employment delivery companies, consisting of 4 countries. This includes 148 people working in Taiwan in the industrial sector, 42 workers in Japan in hand-held metal injection positions, 1 worker in Hong Kong as a house worker and 100 workers in Israel. The job seekers will receive benefits and wages as stipulated by the laws of the host country.
