MOL Commences Knowledge Sharing Program on Convention 100 on Equal Remuneration, 1951, and Convention 111 on Discrimination in Respect of Employment and Occupation, 1958

            On September 10, 2020, at 13.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol presided over the knowledge sharing program’s commencement on Convention No. 100 on equal remuneration for male and female workers in equal work, 1951 and Convention No. 111 on discrimination regarding employment and occupation, 1958. Deputy Permanent Secretary Ms. Aumpun Thuvavit also joined the occasion at the Centara Grand Hotel, Central World, Bangkok.             The project included lectures on the work of the expert committee on the implementation of conventions and recommendations. The event took place in the form of lectures in training rooms and on-line lectures to raise awareness of equal compensation and employment and career discrimination, for all departments and sectors to have aligned understanding. The knowledge will promote a fair society in terms of working compensation, free from discrimination in employment and occupation, to meet the two conventions’ objectives. MOL Organizes 11th Blood Donation Event in Honour of His Majesty the King

          The Permanent Secretary of Labour gave an opening speech at the Ministry of Labour’s 11th blood donation event in honour of the royal coronation. The event promotes participants to realize sacrifices and do good deeds without expecting rewards in return.           Today (December 20, 2019, at 10.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol presided over the commencement of the Ministry of Labour’s 11th blood donation event in honour of the royal coronation. Suthi Worships Sacred Items at Auspicious Time on Appointment of 11th Permanent Secretary of Labour

  Suthi Sukosol, at the auspicious time of 09.00 hours, paid homage to the sacred items at the ministry, including Phra Phut Sutthitham Bophit, Phra Phut Chinnarat, San Por Pu Chai Mongkhon and San Thao Mahaprom Thewarit, on the occasion of become the Ministry of Labour’s 11th Permanent Secretary, after the royal ceremony on June 12.          On June 13, 2019, at 09.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Suthi Sukosol worshipped the Ministry of Labour’s sacred items including Phra Phut Sutthitham Bophit, Phra Phut Chinnarat, San Por Pu Chai Mongkhon and San Thao Mahaprom Thewarit, after being appointed to the position. The appointment followed an announcement by the Office of the Prime Minister regarding the appointment from Director-General of the Department of Skill Development to be Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour, from June 9, 2019, onwards, which made on June 12, 2019. “Gen. Adul” Extends Invitation to ILO’s 100th Anniversary Celebrations on April 11th

           The Labour Minister gave a press conference at the event to celebrate the ILO’s 100th anniversary, inviting workers, employers, associates and interested people to attend the event on April 11th at the Ministry of Labour.             On November 20, 2018, at 09.30 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary Mr. Viwat Jiraphanvanich chaired the Employee Welfare Fund Committee meeting 11/2018. The meeting considered the resolution to pay the debt from the account as a loss account of the Employee Welfare Fund, an audit of financial statements for the end of December 30, 2017, and a schedule for the Employee Welfare Fund Committee meeting in December 2018. Ministry of Labor prepares 11th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labor (AFML).

            On September 14, 2018, Mr. Somsak Apinantanakul, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour, presided over the closing ceremony of the 11th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labor (AFML) at the Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel. The 11th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Workers (AFML) today is intended to provide a forum for government officials, employers, employees, and all stakeholders are discussing the progress, motivation, recommendations, actions to promote and protect migrant workers’ rights as a result of the 10th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labor (AFML) in 2017 in the Republic of the Philippines. It also provides an opportunity to develop recommendations in the context of Thailand to support the use of digital technology to promote valuable employment for migrant workers in ASEAN region. It is clear that Digital Technology is inevitable. The 4th Industrial Revolution resulted in rapid change. The Ministry of Labor prepares for the 11th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labor (AFML).

          On September 14, 2018, Mr. Wiwat Tanghong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, presided over the opening ceremony of the 11th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labor (AFML) at the Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel. The importance of migrant workers as a key mechanism for the country’s economic growth is not less than that of Thai workers. At present, there are at least 2 million legal migrants who come to work. It is the duty of the government to ensure that both migrant workers and Thai workers are protected in equal and equal human dignity. However, it can not be denied that migrant workers are at risk of being discriminated against to be fair, the abuses, exploitation and lack of access to decent work.           On September 11, 2018, H. E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labour, presided over the press conference of the “Nakhon Phanom – Kammuon Marathon Crossing the Mekong River”.             On August 1, 2018, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor, revealed after the preparatory meeting of the 100th Anniversary of the International Labor Organization The Ministry of Labor, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in 2019, Thailand as the country of origin and its location. The Asia Pacific region The ILO was honored to be one of the 24 countries that will be celebrating the event. The 7 countries in the Asia Pacific region are from 10:00 to 11:00 on Thursday, April 11, 2019. Gen. Adulat added that the event was a partnership for decent work, a valuable partnership.

“Gen. Pravit” opens 11 Job Ready Centers across the country to help graduates with a full work.

The Ministry of Labor is scheduled to officially open the Job Ready Center on July 19, 2018 at 9.00 am at the Employment Service Center for Thais, Ministry of Labor. Gen. Adul said the Ministry of Labor will open 11 Job Ready Centers nationwide including Chiang Mai, Phitsanulok, Phranakhon Sri Ayutthaya, Prachinburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Chonburi, Rayong, Surat Thani, Songkhla and Bangkok on July 19, 2018.

“Gen. Adul” reveals that the Thai government has helped Thai workers who died in Taiwan and took care of his heirs who will return to Thailand on May 11
