PM Instructs Labour Minister to Work with Pathum Thani and Nonthaburi on Proactive Covid-19 Screening to Prevent Further Outbreaks in the Workplace and Worker Camps

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that the Ministry of Labour responded to orders by the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. It has worked with relevant departments and hospitals in the social security network to carry out proactive Covid-19 tests for employees in the workplace and worker campsites in Pathum Thani and Nonthaburi, controlling the spread of Covid-19.           On May 31, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the Covid-19 outbreaks in worker camps. MOL Meets for Rehearsal and Understanding on Covid-19 Vaccinations for Insured Persons under Section 33

          Today (May 31, 2021) at 09.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, to chair the rehearsal meeting and understanding of the Covid-19 vaccinations for insured persons under Section 33 of the Bangkok Social Security Office in all 12 districts. Relevant departments attended the meeting at the meeting room on the 7th floor, Social Security Office, Area 3. The Ministry of Labour received Covid-19 vaccines to administer to insured workers in the social security system to prevent further Covid-19 outbreaks. Labour Minister Emphasizes May 31 as Last Day of Covid-19 Screenings at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin emphasized that insured persons and the general public hurry to get Covid-19 tested at the Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng, open until May 31, which will be the last day. Labour Minister Assigns Advisor to Care for Workplace Employees to Prevent Covid-19 Spread in Phetchaburi

          The Labour Miniter assigned his Advisor to lead a team comprising heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi, to distribute food and encourage workplace employees coping with the Covid-19 outbreaks.           On May 29, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan and the head of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi to care for workplace employees coping with Covid-19 outbreaks in Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi. The team delivered food and listened to issues to build morale and encouragement to worker groups from the three southern border provinces. Labour Minister Responds to Deputy PM Instructions to Investigate Foreign Workers in Samut Sakhon and Control Covid-19 Outbreaks in the Workplace

PM Assigns MOL and BMA to Roll Out Proactive Covid-19 Screening in Construction Worker Camps

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that the Prime Minister is concerned about Covid-19 outbreaks in worker camps. He has instructed the Ministry of Labour and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to conduct proactive Covid-19 screening for workers in construction camps throughout the city. Labour Minister Joins Meeting to Deliver Policies and Guidelines on Border Area Management Amid Covid-19

          On May 24, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined the meeting to hand over policies and guidelines on border management amid the Covid-19 pandemic to border provinces under the Thai border command center in 33 provinces. The meeting took place over video conference. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol and Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour and Acting Director-General of the Department of Employment, Mr. Phairoj Chotikasathian, also joined the meeting to ensure that the management of Thai border areas with neighboring countries amid the Covid-19 situation operates with unity and efficiency. Deputy PM Instructs Labour Minister to Use Samut Sakhon Model and Establish Factory Quarantine for Covid-19 Infected Employees in Phetchaburi

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan ordered using the Samut Sakhon model to set up a field hospital in a factory to take care of employees infected with Covid-19 in Phetchaburi. The Labour Minister’s Advisor was instructed to visit the company in Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi, providing four interpreters to communicate with foreign workers infected with Covid-19. The Advisor also listened to issues build morale and share encouragement to help relax the quarantined employees. MOL Receives Healthy Food Products from Doi Kham to Fight Covid-19

          On May 21, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomlkin received healthy food products such as 380 bottles of germinated brown rice drink, 321 bottles of germinated homnin rice drink, 164 bottles of mixed bean drink and 1,000 cans of halved peaches in syrup at the 565 grams size. The foods were delivered by Managing Director, Mr. Pipatpong Israsena Na Ayudhya, Senior Executive Vice President (Sales and Marketing), Mrs. Chananan Pholpatphee, Corporate Communications Manager Mr. Chan Narongporn Dilokrat, and company management from Doi Kham Food Products Co., Ltd. MOL Receives Hygiene Masks to Distribute to Healthcare Workers Fighting Covid-19

          On May 18, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin received 2,450,000 hygiene masks from various organizations, including 100,000 masks from Pink Studio Co., Ltd., 800,000 masks from Sikarin Hospital, 400,000 masks from Chularat Hospital, 100,00 masks from patRangsit Hospital, 100,000 masks from Ladprao Hospital, and 50,000 masks from the Twin Towers Hotel and Rajavej ChiangMai Hospital. The Ministry of Labour will deliver the masks to staff and medical personnel conducting the proactive Covid-19 tests for insured persons, informal workers, and the general public to prevent Covid-19 outbreaks.
