          On June 7, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited the Covid-19 Vaccination Center for Section 33 Insured Persons at the SUN TOWER Building, Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, Bangkok. The center provides vaccination services against Covid-19 to insured persons to control the spread of the pandemic in factories and workplaces.           On June 7, 2021, at 14.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Secretariat, Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, to visit the Covid-19 Vaccination Center for Section 33 Insured Persons at the Thai Football Factory Sporting Goods Co., Ltd., Chalong Krung Road, Nong Chok District, Bangkok. The facility can vaccinate up to 1,000 people per day and is in the responsibility of the Bangkok Social Security Office Area 10. Labour Minister Assigns Advisor to Visit Covid-19 Vaccination Center for Section 33 Insured Persons at Chang Chui Market and Big C Dao Khanong

          On June 7, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, paid a visit and gave encouragement to insured persons vaccinated at the Covid-19 Vaccination Center for Section 33 Insured Persons in Bangkok, at the Chang Chui Market, and Big C Parking Lot, Dao Khanong, Thonburi. He said that the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, are concerned for the workforce, especially those insured under Section 33 of the Social Security System.           On June 7, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Advisory Board Member to the Labour Minister, Mr. Natthawat Teeratathamrong, and the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, visited the Covid-19 Vaccination Center for Section 33 Insured Persons in Bangkok, at the Rainbow Market in Din Daeng District, Ramada Chao Phraya Ratchada Hotel and Thai-Japan Center in Din Daeng District, Bangkok. Deputy PM Shows Concern for Din Daeng Flat Community and Instructs Labour Minister to Distribute 100,000 Masks to Prevent Covid-19

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan is concerned about community members in the Din Daeng flats suffering from the Covid-19 situation. He, therefore, assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor to visit the Din Daeng Housing Community 2 to hand out face masks to almost 30,000 flat residents. Deputy Labour Minister Receives Donation of Negative Pressure Chambers to Distribute to Community Hospitals to Help Covid-19 Patients

        On June 4, 2021, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat received the negative pressure chambers from the Foundation for King Prajadhipok’s Institute and the King Prajadhipok’s Institute Society. Dr. Nattachai Suwachittanon, Mr. Parinya Talasor, and Mr. Thatchaporn Wataksorn were representatives of the King Prajadhipok’s Institute Society and the Foundation for King Prajadhipok’s Institute to donate the negative pressure unit, which will be given to 4 community hospitals, namely Chaloem Phrakiat Hospital, Somdej Phra Yupparat Pua Hospital, Nan Province, Mae Sai Hospital and Somdej Phra Yuparat Hospital, Chiang Rai Province, to be used as a room to treat Covid-19 patients.         Prof. Narumon said a negative pressure chamber is a necessary unit in caring for Covid-19 infected patients.             On June 4, 2021, at 11.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the meeting of the Ministry of Labour’s Covid-19 Vaccination Management Committee for Insured Persons Meeting No. 1/2021. The meeting asked for cooperation from the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand, the Confederation of Thai Labour, the Safety and Health at Work Promotion Association, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the Federation of Thai Industries to publicize and create an understanding of vaccination for the insured persons.           The Labour Minister received ready-to-eat food from CPF to support medical personnel vaccinating insured persons at 45 locations in Bangkok. The efforts will help build immunity, control, and prevent the spread of Covid-19 from moving beyond the situation together.           On June 4, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin received ready-to-eat food from Chief Executive Officer Mr. Prasit Boonduangprasert and Chief Human Resources Officer Mr. Phimonrat Repattana Wichitkul, from Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF). Labour Minister Meets with Foreign Worker Management Policy Committee to Resolve Issues Amid New Wave of Covid-19 Outbreaks

          The Labour Minister is prepared to propose to the Cabinet an adjustment on time to find employers of foreign workers of the three nationalities to 60 days, extending the time of Covid-19 testing and work permit applications (Bor.Tor. 48) for foreigners who fall in the group from the resolution on December 29, 2020. The proposal also suggests allowing foreigners following the resolution on August 20, 2019, August 4, 2020, and November 10, 2020, to temporarily work in the Kingdom to complete the procedures prescribed in the announcements of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Labour.           Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who supervises the Ministry of Labour, acknowledges the issues that occurred on the management of migrant workers during the new wave of Covid-19. MOL Working Group on Covid-19 Vaccinations for Section 33 Insured Persons Meet

          On June 1, 2021, at 10.00 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Aumpun Thuwawit chaired the working group meeting to oversee the Covid-19 vaccinations for insured persons under Section 33 of the Bangkok Social Security Office in 12 districts. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, Academic Labour Advisor Mrs. Napasorn Toongsooksai, Departmental Inspector-Generals, the Social Security Office, and the Director of the Bureau of Inspection and Evaluation also participated in the meeting to prepare for vaccination guidelines for Section 33 insured persons in 12 areas of the Bangkok Social Security Office. The main agendas were: 1) Review of the vaccination queue sequencing process plan. 2) Service process considerations. 3) Addressing challenges such as infectious waste management at the vaccination service points, application via “Mor Prom” application to follow-up and provide evaluations after vaccination, managing Section 33 insured persons getting vaccinated to replace the insured persons who cannot get vaccinations as scheduled. 4) Determining a common guideline in administering vaccination service points for the same standard, and 5) Guidelines for preparing daily reports. Labour Minister is Overall Satisfied After Conclusion of Proactive Covid-19 Screening for Over 132,000 Insured Persons and Informal Workers

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that he was overall satisfied after the closure of the proactive Covid-19 screening center. A total of 132,912 insured persons, informal workers and general public got tested, to help slow down the spread of the infection and control outbreaks while waiting for vaccinations.           On May 31, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin gave an overview of the proactive Covid-19 screening in Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Chonburi, Chiang Mai, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan. Following the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha’s instructions, the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan worked with the Ministry of Interior, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Ministry of Public Health by the NHSO to conduct proactive Covid-19 screening under the “Workforce Fighting Together” program, free of charge.
