          On May 28, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Pol.Maj.Gen. Nantachat Supamongkol from the Office of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat to visit Nakhon Pathom to check the work of foreigners to prevent illegal work. Permanent Secretary of Labour Meets on Subject Matters for Tripartite Representatives Attending the 109th Session of the International Labour Organization

          Today (May 28, 2021), at 13.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol chaired the conference on the subject matter for tripartite representatives who will attend the 109th Session of the International Labour Organization. Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Pattaraporn Samantarat, employer representatives, employee representatives, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives and staff also joined the meeting at the Tri Thep Meeting Room 2, 14th Floor, Ministry of Labour. The meeting considered the statement made by tripartite representatives from Thailand. The 109th Session of the International Labour Organization, or ILC Session, commenced on May 20, 2021. Labour Minister Plants Trees on National Tree Day 2021

          On May 28, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the ceremony to plant golden teak trees. Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat and Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol planted black rosewood trees alongside him. Labour Minister Coordinates With Embassy in Tel Aviv to Transport Bodies of Two Thai Workers Back to Thailand on May 26

          On May 20, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about transporting the bodies of the Thai workers killed in the Israeli bombing to Thailand. He said that Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, have expressed their condolences over the death of Thai workers and concern for the injured Thai workers. The Labour Minister was therefore instructed to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He had a phone call to speak with the Thai Ambassador in Tel Aviv, Ms. Phannapa Chandrarom. The coordination informed that the two deceased Thai workers were Mr. Weerawat Karanborirak, 44, a resident of Phetchabun, and Mr. Sikharin Sangram, 24, a resident of Buriram. The bodies will arrive in Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport on May 26. The company where the Thai workers work will be responsible for delivering the bodies to the workers’ homes. Labour Minister Receives PM Orders to Care for Deceased and Injured Thai Workers from Blasts in Israel

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that the Prime Minister is concerned about Thai workers who died and were injured from the blasts in Israel and instructed the immediate support for legally entitled benefits.           On May 19, 2021, on the 5th floor, Ministry of Labour, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that from the unrest between Israel and Palestine, attacks were carried out by Hamas at Ohad in Eshkol, 14 kilometers from the Gaza Strip. The Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased Thai workers and cared for those injured by the blast. Deputy PM Delivers Employee Welfare Fund of Over 21M Baht to Help Affected Employees of Brilliant Alliance

Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan delivered the employee welfare. Overall, the accumulated spending in the Section 33 We Love Each Other Project from March 22 to 28, 2021, has reached 4,603,989,005.52 Baht. For groups doing rights reviews and those without a smartphone, the registration deadline was on March 28, 2021. Deputy Labour Minister Visits Correctional Institution to Promote Professional Skills for Inmates

          On March 25, 2021, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat observed the National Skill Standard Assessment in tiling for 29 female inmates who were assessed.
