วันที่ 23 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 เวลา 11.00 น. นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานการแถลงข่าวงานมอบรางวัลสตรีดีเด่น เนื่องในวันสตรีสากล ประจำปี 2567 โดยมี นายอารี ไกรนรา เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน นางโสภา เกียรตินิรชา อธิบดีกรมสวัสดิการและคุ้มครองแรงงาน นายบุญสงค์ ทัพชัยยุทธ์ เลขาธิการสำนักงานประกันสังคม พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหารระดับสูงกระทรวงแรงงาน เข้าร่วม ณ ห้องรับรอง ชั้น 5 อาคารกระทรวงแรงงาน
นายพิพัฒน์ กล่าวว่า ปัจจุบันสตรีไทยมีบทบาทในสังคมมากขึ้น และอยู่ในภาคแรงงาน ทั้งในระบบและนอกระบบ ร่วม 30 ล้านคนกระทรวงแรงงาน ให้ความสำคัญต่อการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตแรงงานสตรี และคุ้มครองให้ได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์การจ้างงานอย่างเท่าเทียมและไม่เลือกปฏิบัติ
“ในขณะนี้ผมดำเนินการนำเสนอเรื่องต่อ ครม. เพื่อกำหนดเพิ่มสิทธิการลาคลอดบุตร 98 วัน ได้เงินเดือนเต็ม พร้อมให้วันลาสามีเพื่อดูแลภรรยาและลูกได้ตามเงื่อนไขของผู้ประกอบการ และดูเเลสิทธิประโยชน์ประกันสังคมตรวจสุขภาพเชิงรุกเพื่อแรงงานสตรี ตรวจหามะเร็งเต้านม มะเร็งปากมดลูก รวมถึงเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการเข้าถึงการรักษาด้วยการผ่าตัดหรือทำหัตถการ ในกลุ่มโรคสตรี อย่าง การผ่าตัดมะเร็งเต้านม และการผ่าตัดก้อนเนื้อที่มดลูกและหรือรังไข่ พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมการประกอบอาชีพแก่สตรีให้มีทักษะฝีมือและสร้างโอกาสโอกาสให้สตรีเข้ามามีบทบาทในการเป็นผู้แทนในกลไกทวิภาคีในสถานประกอบกิจการเพื่อให้มีส่วนร่วมในการพิจารณาการดำเนินงานด้านแรงงานอันเป็นประโยชน์โดยรวมต่อสังคมด้านแรงงาน”รมว.แรงงาน กล่าว
ด้าน นางโสภา เกียรตินิรชา อธิบดีกรมสวัสดิการและคุ้มครองแรงงาน กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า เนื่องในวันสตรีสากล ประจำปี 2567 ทางกรมสวัสดิการฯ เตรียมจัดงานมอบรางวัลสตรีทำงานดีเด่น ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งที่ 28 ชูแนวคิด “แรงงานสตรีสร้างความเสมอภาคและการทำงานที่มีคุณค่า พัฒนาเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล” ในวันที่ 8 มีนาคมนี้ ณ โรงแรมมิราเคิล แกรนด์ คอนเวนชั่น กรุงเทพมหานคร พร้อมโชว์ศักยภาพ 31 สตรีทำงานดีเด่น จากภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ทั้งระดับบริหารและระดับปฏิบัติการ ในภาคราชการ รัฐวิสาหกิจ และเอกชน ตลอดจนผู้ประกอบอาชีพอิสระ และเครือข่ายด้านแรงงาน อาทิ แพทย์หญิงวันทนีย์ วัฒนะ ปลัดกรุงเทพมหานคร ได้รับรางวัลสาขาสตรีนักบริหารภาคราชการดีเด่น, นางวรีพรชาวบางพระ พนักงานเก็บรักษาของสถานธนานุเคราะห์ 31 สตรีผู้ปฏิบัติการดีเด่น, นางสาวแอนโทเนีย โพซิ้ว นางงาม นักแสดง ศิลปินสตรีดีเด่น, และสื่อมวลชนสตรีดีเด่น ได้แก่ นางสาวพิชญทัฬห์ จันทร์พุฒ ผู้ประกาศข่าวสถานีโทรทัศน์ไทยทีวีสี ช่อง 3 เป็นต้น
การพิจารณารางวัลดังกล่าวได้ผ่านกระบวนการกลั่นกรองจากหน่วยงานระดับพื้นที่ และเข้าสู่การคัดเลือกโดยคณะกรรมการสรรหาและคัดเลือกสตรีทำงานดีเด่น ซึ่งเป็นผู้แทนจากองค์กรภาครัฐ องค์กรนายจ้าง องค์กรลูกจ้าง และภาคีเครือข่ายที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อคัดเลือกสตรีที่มีผลงานสอดคล้องกับแนวคิดวันสตรีสากล สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นในการทำงานจนประสบความสำเร็จเป็นที่ประจักษ์ และได้รับการยอมรับอย่างกว้างขวาง ซึ่งทั้ง 31 ท่าน ที่ได้รับรางวัลในปีนี้จะได้ร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในขับเคลื่อนภารกิจด้านแรงงาน และเป็นพลังสำคัญในการสร้างสรรค์การทำงานที่มีคุณค่า เพื่อพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจของประเทศต่อไป
On February 23, 2024, at 11.00 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, chaired the press conference for the Outstanding Women Award Ceremony on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2024. The Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Aree Krainara, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Director-General, Mrs. Sopa Kieatnircha, the Social Security Office’s Secretary-General, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives joined the occasion at the reception room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour.
Mr. Phiphat said that today, Thai women have a greater role in society and are part of the labour sector, both in and outside the system. There are 30 million people. The Ministry of Labour gives importance to developing the quality of life of women workers, ensuring protection and that they receive employment benefits equally, without discrimination.
“At this time, I am in the process of presenting the matter to the Cabinet to increase maternity leave rights to 98 days with full salary, and to provide leaves to husbands to take care of their wives and children following the conditions of the business operators. There are also efforts to take care of social security benefits and proactive health checks for women workers, with checks for breast and cervical cancer, and improving access to surgical treatment or procedures in women’s disease risk groups such as breast cancer surgery and surgery for lumps in the uterus and/or ovaries. Efforts are also underway to promote employment for women with skills and create opportunities for women to take on the role of representatives in bilateral mechanisms in business establishments so that they can participate in considering labour operations, which is overall beneficial to society in terms of the workforce,” said the Labour Minister.
The Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Director-General, Mrs. Sopa Kieatnircha, added that on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2024, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare prepared an award ceremony for outstanding working women. This was the 28th occasion of the event, which aims to promote the concept of “women workers creating equality and valuable work, developing the digital economy.” The event was hosted on March 8 at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok. It showcases the potential of 31 outstanding working women from various sectors, at administrative and operational levels, in the government sector, state enterprises, the private sector, self-employed workers, and labour networks. For example, Dr. Wantanee Wattana, Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, received the award for Outstanding Women in Public Sector Administration, Mrs. Wareeporn Chaobangphra, a custodial staff of the Pawnshop 31 was awarded Outstanding Woman Practitioner, Ms. Antonia Pho Siew, beauty queen and actress, was awarded for Outstanding Female Artist, and the Outstanding Female Media was awarded to Ms. Pitchayathan Chanput, a news anchor from Channel 3 television station.
Awardees for this award have gone through a screening process from local level agencies and entered for selection by the Recruitment and Selection Committee for Outstanding Working Women. The committee is made up of representatives from government, employer, and employee organizations, including related network partners. They select women whose work is consistent with the concept of International Women’s Day, reflecting a determination to work until success is evident and widely accepted. All 31 award recipients this year will take part in driving the labour mission. They are an important force in creating valuable work to develop the country’s economy further.
