นายภูมิพัฒน์ เหมือนจันทร์ โฆษกกระทรวงแรงงาน เปิดเผยถึงความคืบหน้าการช่วยเหลือแรงงานไทยที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์ความไม่สงบในประเทศอิสราเอล ว่า กระทรวงแรงงานได้จ่ายเงินช่วยเหลือตามโครงการเยียวยา 50,000 บาท ให้แก่ผู้มีสิทธิและทายาทแล้ว 9,309 คน จากจำนวนผู้ที่ยื่นขอรับเงินทั้งหมด 9,384 คน หรือคิดเป็น 99.34% รวมเป็นเงิน 465,450,000 บาท และจ่ายเงินจากกองทุนเพื่อช่วยเหลือคนหางานไปทำงานในต่างประเทศแล้ว 9,892 คน จากผู้ยื่นขอรับเงิน 11,101 คน หรือคิดเป็น 97.93% รวมเป็นเงิน 144,270,000 บาท ส่วนที่เหลืออยู่ระหว่างดำเนินการด้านเอกสารและรออนุมัติ นอกจากนี้ ผู้ที่ได้รับผลกระทบจะได้รับเงินช่วยเหลือจากสถาบันประกันภัยแห่งชาติอิสราเอลอีกด้วย สำหรับตัวเลขล่าสุดมีแรงงานไทยเสียชีวิต 41 คน และยังมีตัวประกันที่ถูกจับตัวอยู่อีก 6 คน โดยรายที่เสียชีวิตและมีสิทธิได้รับเงินช่วยเหลือจากกองทุนประกันสังคมจำนวน 35 ราย ทางสำนักงานประกันสังคมได้จ่ายเงินช่วยเหลือให้แก่ทายาทแล้ว 1,367,860.70 บาท ทั้งนี้ นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รมว.รง.ได้กำชับให้ทุกหน่วยเร่งดำเนินการจ่ายเงินหรือประสานผู้เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อให้ทุกอย่างเรียบร้อยภายในเดือน มิ.ย.นี้
โฆษกกระทรวงแรงงานกล่าวว่า รมว.รง.และคณะ จะเดินทางไปอิสราเอลในระหว่างวันที่ 26 – 29 พ.ค.นี้ ตามคำเชิญของเอกอัครราชทูตรัฐอิสราเอลประจำประเทศไทย เพื่อไปติดตามสถานการณ์ โดยจะขอให้อิสราเอลดูแลความปลอดภัยแรงงานไทยให้ทำงานในพื้นที่สีเขียวเท่านั้นและช่วยเร่งรัดการจ่ายค่าจ้างค้างจ่ายหรือเงินปิซูอิมให้แก่แรงงานไทยที่ครบกำหนดสัญญาการทำงานและที่เดินทางกลับประเทศไทยจากภาวะสงคราม การเพิ่มโควต้าแรงงานไทยในภาคเกษตรและการจัดตั้ง Deposit Fund เพื่อสร้างหลักประกันให้กับแรงงานภาคเกษตรที่สิ้นสุดสัญญาจ้าง รวมทั้งขอโอกาสในการจัดส่งแรงงานก่อสร้างไปทำงานในอิสราเอลด้วย โดยทางคณะจะได้พบหารือกับ รมว.มหาดไทย รมว.แรงงาน รมว.เกษตรและพัฒนาชนบทของอิสราเอล ผู้แทนสำนักงานประชากรและตรวจคนเข้าเมืองอิสราเอล และบริษัทนายจ้างของอิสราเอลอีกด้วย
“เมื่อสัปดาห์ที่แล้วกระทรวงแรงงานได้ประกาศยกเลิกการชะลอการจัดส่งแรงงานไทยไปทำงานในรัฐอิสราเอลแล้ว เพราะทางการอิสราเอลให้ความเชื่อมั่นกับไทยและมีความต้องการแรงงานไทยมากถึงกว่า 20,000 อัตรา ส่วนแรงงานไทยก็มีความประสงค์จะไปทำงานในอิสราเอลเช่นกัน ซึ่งการเดินทางไปอิสราเอลของ รมว.รง. ครั้งนี้ จะเป็นการยืนยันและสร้างความมั่นใจให้กับพี่น้องคนไทยได้เป็นอย่างดี โดยหากมีความไม่ปลอดภัยหรือมีข้อติดขัดอะไรก็จะต้องรีบแก้ไข เพื่อคุ้มครองดูแลแรงงานไทยให้ดีที่สุด” นายภูมิพัฒน์ กล่าว

Of the people who died, 35 are entitled to receive financial assistance from the Social Security Fund. The Social Security Office has paid assistance of 1,367,860.70 Baht to the dependents. The Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, has urged all units to expedite the payment process or coordinate with those involved so that everything is in order within June.
The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson said that the Labour Minister and delegation will travel to Israel from May 26 to 29, at the invitation of the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Thailand, to follow the situation. They will ask Israel to take care of the safety of Thai workers by working only in green areas and help expedite the payment of accrued wages or pisuim to Thai workers whose work contracts have expired and who have returned to Thailand from the war. They will also discuss increasing the quota of Thai workers in agriculture and establishing a Deposit Fund to provide security for agricultural workers whose contracts expire, including requesting the opportunity to send construction workers to work in Israel. The group will meet and discuss with the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of Labour, and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel, including representatives of the Israel Population and Immigration Office and Israeli employer companies as well.
“Last week, the Ministry of Labour announced the cancellation of the delay in sending Thai workers to work in the State of Israel. This is because the Israeli authorities have confidence in Thailand, and there is a demand for over 20,000 Thai workers. Thai workers also wish to work in Israel. The Labour Minister’s trip to Israel will be a great confirmation and confidence building for the Thai people. If there is any insecurity or any problems, they must be resolved quickly to protect and care for Thai workers as best as possible,” Mr. Phumiphat said.
