The Deputy Labour Minister reported the number of workers who have passed skills training in the past year, accelerating forward to raise the workforce’s standard, driving the country’s economy. On September 25, 2020, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat reported the Department of Skill Development’s performance for the 2020 fiscal year, with the set target of 3,827,200 people. A total of 4,728,485 people has gone through skills development, consisting of 136,882 people. The DSD conducted training for and 4,591,603 people through encouraging organizations under the Skill Development Promotion Act B.E. 2545 and amendment No. 2, B.E. 2557. In the DSD portion, there are many interesting projects such as the logistics personnel development project in collaboration with the Thai International Freight Forwarders Association (TIFFA), with 323 new graduates from the undergraduate level, training, and entering the logistics market.
