          The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General joined the seminar and press conference of the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation among 8 government and private agencies to drive health promotion and disease prevention policies for people in the workplace to have sustainability good health.

          Today (August 8, 2019) at 09.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Todsaphon kritwongwiman joined the seminar and press conference for the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation among 8 government and private agencies to drive health promotion and disease prevention policies for people in the workplace. Deputy Minister of Public Health Mr. Satit Pitutacha, presided over the press conference at SALON A Room, 2nd Floor, Swissotel Ratchada Hotel, Bangkok. The Inspector-General of Labour said,” The Ministry of Labour has a vision, that is for workers to have high potential and a good quality of life, under the mission to increase the potential of the workforce and businesses to prepare for changing situations. It also aims for preparation in line with the direction of the development of the country in protecting and encouraging workers to have stability in their work life, along with security and a good quality of life. The Ministry of Labour aims to work closely with relevant partners in driving health promotion work and prevention of disease to all working-age people and insurers in nursing homes and establishments and encourage the implementation of health promotion and disease prevention to create a mechanism at the policy level, the provincial level and between departments.
          The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation on health promotion and disease prevention for people in the workplace, is an integration of cooperation between government agencies and private organizations. The 8 agencies consist of the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Industry, the Bangkok Administration, the Federation of Thai Industries and the Private Hospital Association of Thailand. The initiative is also supported by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation. The signing ceremony of the MOC on health promotion and disease prevention policies for people in the workplace will be held on September 12, 2019 with Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha and chair of the ceremony.
